What's the reason you need a valuer in the first place? Planning to refinance or get a top-up loan?

If involving bank, then have to still go back to the bank's panel of valuers.

There's a panel valuer from my bank offering the valuation service but the fees he requested seems overcharged for my property that's below rm100K.

i reflected this thing to my banker but the banker asked me to get the contact of valuers who don't charge that high..

Normally valuer firm charge was standard and under control by BNM.
so those valuer firm who offer over value for the property to customer or having higher charges for valuation fees to the customer will be banned by bank.

what u mean by free valuation.. u mean verbal valuation?

The fee should be less than RM500.
How much the valuer want to charge?

he quotes rm 470 ... which includes Disbursebent rm 155 ..

Is this reasonable charge ?

btw, i've juz checked with a few valuation companies and they informed me that the fees had been revised since end of last year ..

I have been charged RM 950 for valuation properties in klang valley value Rm450k..

I just paid RM 1600 after discount for RM 1m property.
Bank arranged for the 30% discount for me.
I think there is a scale which all valuers uses but up to them to give discount off the scale.

Can u share which property valuer ?
