I am a xfire 16 user.
Just that day the shop no more 16 so I just went for 17.
I feel 16 is much better. Has more pop, more bite and usually the strings will break before it drops to the tension where it irritates you.

I think my fire down this couple of weeks cos of the string.
Restring later!!

cf 16 is cfII 16 right?

my thai coach charges rm70 for 1 hour.I don't think he has a cert,i don't recall him saying anything about a cert.

IMO,you can charge as much as you like, just that less people will be willing to pay for it. i've seen coaches who don't even bother to correct student's wrong strokes. Of course, you can't blame the coach if the student doesn't want to learn

i kinda serve differently for first and second serve
first serve with not much spin, not capable of very wide either, but can use topspin serve if against one handed backhander
second serve is topspin all the way, something like verdasco serve but not powerful, can get the ball in without letting the opponent attack too much.

topspin serve is kind of like throwing the ball right on top or just slightly at the back of you.

generally rackets in sg is not cheap.. but sometimes u can get good deals for outdated models..

u can visit places like the nike warehouse outlet at west coast plaza and RSH at suntec city where there is a clearance section. Just saw the novak CC genius (dark blue) going for SGD 111 ... but depends whether there are sizes available or not. this 2 places are for clothes n shoes.. then for racket u can checkout leisure sports and lai sports in orchard road. one in far east plaza and one in lucky plaza...

thanks bro

Hey guys i wanna ask for some help.
My serve is really crap. I have checked out youtube videos and all and i probly see a bit of an improvement until i break out a new can of balls, my serve goes over the service line/ straight into the net.

I wanna ask how long does it take roughly to get a proper playable serve that is able to reach someone behind the baseline? Sorry if its a stupid question coz thats the only thing thats stopping me from playing with others

also, how can i practice (What drills should i use to work up to a full serve)??
*
first, get your toss right... it's most important..
others you can just watch from youtube, especially from fyb2007

yeah barricades are good for wide feet..
but they take long to break in and they are quite heavy..
wouldn't mind since they are so durable
