wanna ask..i just got myself a k factor 6.1 95 @ 56lb.is it normal for that racket to have a pinging sound?
*
Depends on what the racket is strung with and at what tension. I had a friend who had that racket, strung with crossfire had some pinging , (use a dampener and this will go away) then he tried Tornado and no more pinging.

Prae;

I never play against Pinky but i watched his match before. He had a decent 1st serve (flat), not that fast but very good with placement. He has a great top spin second serve which might bounce over your head assuming you're 170cm guy. His forehand is a classic type (double bend) with a lot of spin (defensive forehand) that always landed deep near the baseline. His backhand is a beauty, he has a simple take back backhand, and he hit the ball on the rise. His backhand is more powerful compared to his forehand but prone to UE because net clearance is very low. His volley hmm.. how should i said this, his volley come from his leg. His overhead smash, i had not seen before. His footwork... even tough seemed like a flat footwork, but when he is being pushed, you will see Pinky move like a ballerina.

Thanks for the input, I appreciate it!
@Pinky you are rare breed lah, better backhnad than forehand somemore!!! thumbup.gif

Whoa, looks like prae and pinky will have a match of the century, asking background all:) I want to watch this match....bila?

two sentences bout pinky, he will never give up:) able to stand pressure:) hope i say correctly laa as i only partner him once:)
*
Hahahhaa its nothing of the sort, honestly, it nigh impossible for me & Mr pinky to have a match.Too far apart!!!!

I was just inquiring as he needed some advice on his serve, nuff said.

Match of the century was supposed to be between Battousai and Pooh88......
maybe my match with pinky can be like those boxing matches before the 'main event' lol. rclxub.gif

Its awfully nice to hear that pinky has Nadal die hard attributes!!!
I better standby 1 plate of chicken rice!!!

If and when I ever get my ass to KL I will give you guys 2 weeks notice before I go so we can at least have a makan and hitting session!! drool.gif

wow! Bad experience with Kirschbaum Spiky Shark, just got back from the stringers, played a doubles match, and I shanked near the throat of my racket, and it broke!!
Oh well I have some older generation poly's were prone to snapping if you shanked the ball anywhere near the racket, but never seen or experienced this ,till now. Oh well lesson learned.

haha... i noe u are not poking me la prae...

hey.. while u r still around.. enlighten me about a racquet swing speed. Fast swing speed meaning for me to optimumly use the racquet meaning i need to swing fast? haha
*
I would rather word it this way :
Swing weight means how a racket feels when swung. High swing weight means the amount of mass is located more at the head hence making the racket high in swing weight, rackets that are high in swing weight offer less maneuverability, but have more 'plow' hence a more powerful stroke. You can say when you meet contact with the ball in takes less effort, in order to get the ball flying.

The way you phrased your question a more 'faster swing' means more racket head acceleration which is very good, but you may have a head light racket and still swing the same as a head heavy racket , the result is different though, if a advance player (such as yourself drool.gif ) were to use a racket say less than 10 OZ (ounces) and then use a racket say 11.5 OZ, you would (hopefully) make this observation when stroking, say when returning a hard ball, the lighter racket gives you racket speed, but on contact, you notice on some shots, your racket feels like it wants to 'twist'.Hopefully with the 11.05 OZ racket, you notice, when you start you need more time to prepare your stroke,it feels like the take back of your stroke is taking forever, but when you actually swing the racket it is more effortless and when you hit the ball, you notice that you require less effort.

This is my personal observation, it may differ from yours, so please take my 0.02 cents with a grain of salt.
hehehe try tomorrow with klboy loh :-p
Feel free to post your thoughts on this subject, as I would welcome any feedback, thanks for your time, have fun! thumbup.gif
