kk..let me start off wif tennis topic..who here serve differently for 1st n 2nd serve?as in 1st mb flat,2nd topspin...cuz i think most of us here first serve hard..2nd jus put de ball in..i'm trying to develop strong 1st serve n consistent topspin 2nd serve..i have a major problem wif ball toss... :/
Added on June 3, 2010, 8:51 pmhaha!!!jk la bro yan..so u stil havent answered my question le bro..wil come tis weekend ka?
in my experience, or the lack of it, the difference for flat serve and kick serve, lies in the toss and the contact point.
for flat serve, you would want to toss the ball so that the contact point is
slightly infront of you, so that you can smack it down.
If you want to hit a kick, you would want to toss the ball so that the contact point is on top of you, so that you can brush up.
you don't have to put in extra effort/strength for the flat, as i notice, the faster you try to accelerate the racquet to generate more power, the more likely it is for you to mis-hit. timing is crucial.
as for the swing path, it's wider for the kick and more 'narrow' for the flat.
pls correct me if i'm wrong...
