Mini US Shopping Spree quick update....15th April 2010



arrived today just in time as my birthday's present tomorrow but it is now under customs custody ......hopefully it can pass thru customs smoothly by tomorrow, otherwise i need to drive all the way to KLIA customs office to pay tax and to collect it there on Monday

there's plenty 2 AA setup flashlight, but for the best thrower with XPG-R5 look no further than the Dereelight Javelin....

+ using p60 standard drop in
+ can use 2 AA / 3 AA [ with extension tube ]
+ can lego with C2H - so it can use 123 & 1 AA [ with extension tube ], so in total you would have 4 diff battery setup

note : EagleTac Mark ll series is also highly recommended too for the superior beam profile and runtime too !

seem luck is always on my side when come to the customs..... value at almost USD2k also can pass now i know the 'secret' on how to avoid customs tax d.....this is my 3rd try already....

so i guess the parcel should be reaching me by next Monday d....

Mini US Shopping Spree quick update....15th April 2010

parcel arrived ! my mom called and informed me that there's one parcel arrived ! [ yeah, parcel was sent to my parent's home in Kajang cos my mom will be at home most of the time to receive it ]

i'll pick it up from her on sunday [ sorry ya guys, i was extremely tight on a project schedule this few days otherwise i'll pick it up earlier ] and please allow me 2-3 days to repackage it and reship it to you guys,.....i'll be going to GW2U on Monday / Tuesday, so those want it delivered by hand can pick it up there

and yes, there's no customs tax involved ! [ saved at least RM350 ++ on taxes, based on 10% tax of USD1,000 ]....so James & Jerome will be glad to hear this

i like the beam profile more.....as good as my ET T20C2 MKll beam that you saw before...

the XL 100's UI is not complicated at all seriously....this is now my most sophisticated [ ahem...not complicated ] UI light to date ! ask Dannie as he's the first guys who play with it this morning....

you made the right choice by choosing the right lights and deal with the right dealer ! he's one of our few Hall of Fame dealer here locally

yeah....it took me freaking 3 hours to read the camera manual before i know how to use it and take a good shot out of it.....at first i don't even know how to mount the lens on ... family light album? not yet.......i still have another 2 more light coming on the way to me....1 from philightsophy and another 1 is the Chinese 'Surefire Helllight' 0.1% lookalike....lol. i guess only bro csshih could guess what light is that....hahaha

it's a Tool Logic's SL Pro....with 3” 50/50 serrated blade, led light and diamond sharpener end....

yeah, i was playing with my wife's Canon more often than flashlight now.....

it's definitely not my skill....if you look closely, it's slightly under exposed and out of focus.....now i need a good flash, tripod, f1.4 lens and a macro lens so badly.... [ i always think a good shot must have a good lighting and composition....correct me if i'm wrong...]

i bought mine from amazon [ with other tool logic's stuff ] + some macro pelican cases. parcel came in on Monday [ surprisingly no tax or being detained by customs ! ]

really appreciate your advise ! [ still a lot more to learn from all the sifu here ] i like the f1.4 / f1.8 lens cos i like to play with the depth of field effect so much and also for the low lighting situation

the water is just to tone down the harshness of the hard steel ....but was not properly done also....
