So the TK45 is brighter than the competition (except for the HID and the SR90 of course), ahs more flood and decent runtime.
But i still just can't take 8 AA's... But then again like what the CPF's debates have mentioned, they probably sell way more lights to non-flashaholics thus the market for AA lights is much larger. |

QUOTE(Jewelberry @ Jun 23 2010, 02:14 AM) what torchlights are most recommended for around rm140? If you're willing to spend another RM20 I would recommend the Eagletac P100A2. i was contemplating itp sa2 eluma and fenix e20? what do u guys say? Eagletac P100A2 A really really good light for it's price. If you like yellower colour (the light) choose the neutral option. If you like whiter then choose the cool white. |

QUOTE(Jewelberry @ Jun 23 2010, 04:25 PM) tempted =p .. is the quality a lot better than ITP SA2? additional rm20 oni. The newer P100A2's are using XP-E Leds.will it be brighter than SA2? coz ITP SA2 using R2 led and eagletac P100A2 using Q5 only? They give a much nicer beam and throw further than the XP-E's. |

Woops i meant XP-E's throw better than the XR-E's lol.
Because i thought he meant that the SA2 uses the XR-E. Hmmm, the P100A2 that I bought had a nicely centered LED and superb beam. Flawless with a nice tight hotspot. Personally think the SA2 looks really ugly lol. |

QUOTE(polkiuj @ Jun 25 2010, 09:27 AM) I see. Sorry I don't know about laser laws (I don't think we have any, haha) and can't help. Probably someone else can help (and already has!!) Hmmm, I thought XP-E's threw better because they are a smaller die.Erm.. Actually X-RE's throw better than the X-PE's thanks to it's lower beam angle. X-RE's have an angle of 90º while X-PE 120º (I thinks). That's why all the crazy throwers use X-RE's (DEFT, Tiablo A10, Deereelight, etc.). Also the X-RE's can be driven harder (according to CREE's specs) Read that somewhere...might be wrong though This post has been edited by strinq: Jun 25 2010, 05:08 PM |

QUOTE(polkiuj @ Jun 28 2010, 10:05 AM) Hey hey~! If I'm not mistaken, the XR-E and XP-E have the same die. The only difference is the package and the lens. The XR-E throws better (probably) because of it's 90º projection instead of XP-E's 120º. Not sure about the projection but the XP-E is definitely smaller than the XR-E.And i remembered someone saying that there was some thread over at cpf saying that because of the smaller dies they throw better. But again, it could be a mistake. |

If you really want something that powerful with size not being a concern then the Stanley HID is definitely the way to go. But u gotta change the stock bulb as it's very white.
