I read the online reviews of this Lumintop FW1A (thrower) and FW3A (flood).
Seems interesting especially with the Anduril UI.  hmm.gif  blink.gif

Personally never own one but if you are getting one, just don't lose the tailcap nipple.
Or to be safe never open the tailcap as the switch will just fall apart.

I wanted to get one but I had enough triples in my collection. sweat.gif

I'm surprised that the Aukey gold plated has lower charging than the normal Aukey non-plated cable.  shocking.gif

it's probably manufacturing tolerances difference in this case but in hifi world where they go nuts bout conductivity, gold is lower than copper in conductivity where silver still taking the lead laugh.gif

Indeed it is.
I use it as my bedside light as the UI ramping from moonlight to turbo is quite useful.
No need to click a few times to get the desired brightness

I like the sunset mode tho. It's officially my night light before I sleep.
running it off a fake samsung 30q and lasted quite long laugh.gif about 6 nights d

Pay premium for the titanium body.
Plus the maximum brightness of 350 lumens is kinda low for 18650 flashlight, no?

If anything, this looks like an amazing host for a custom triple

Any comments which headlamp you prefer ? I'm looking at AA battery sizes.

Manker E03H

Thrunite TH20

Or any other suggestion and why ?  hmm.gif

Thanks

What are your purposes for headlamps? Hiking? Close up work inspections?
AA headlamps are not really practical but they benefit in weight. Why not 18650 size headlamps? I'd go YLP Panda 2m if I am getting a headlamp myself.

I would recommend your Manker E03H but the amount of people having issues with it not working out of nowhere is my reason to stop you from getting one.

Thrunite TH20 is good if you ok with a little throw. Definitely not for close up work.

For the size if you are using just for normal walks then the Nitecore NU20 is a good rechargeable all in one lightweight headlamp. Downside is non removable battery.

And lastly the Sofirn SP40 with 18350 battery is the most ideal package imo for price to performance.

This usage is more towards close up 1-2 meter kinds of usage: work/camping and maybe hiking (just to look at the ground in front of me where I'm walkking). Not for long distance throw as I'll prefer to get a bigger capacity/performance for that (BTW, any recommendation ?)

18650 although last much longer like 3x AA, but it is heavier as a headlamp. That's just my consideration, have been thinking about Thrunite TH30 or any latest equivalent.

18650 also requires charging directly which means cannot use. Unless I spend additional cost for accessories and spare batteries for external charging. Also defeats the purpose of charging direct already.

FYI, currently using Eneloop Pro AA and AAA for some other devices. If I'm going 18650/26650, then will seriously need to consider investing on spare batteries + external chargers.

Thanks  icon_rolleyes.gif

then TH20 is the best one out there. Nothing else offer a better price to performance than TH20.
There isn't much new updates in AA headlamps since last 2 years but headlamps been killing the 18650 realm almost every year

If you want a good thrower, the SP40 is a good budget start for headlamp since it also comes with USB charger built in. There's the Skilhunt H03F but they're kinda old by now.
Skip the headlamp feature can get you a Convoy C8 on XP-L Hi Or Sofirn SP31 V2.0 for an all rounder duty handheld light

Hey the link is back on shopee
I bought it for RM152 for the 5000K XP-L HI

Only light. No other accessories. If you are buying maybe consider adding turboglow in your cart. Very interesting addition notworthy.gif

It's a very good light and has becomes my bedside table light due to the excellent Andruil UI.  thumbsup.gif
Can ramp from moonlight to high with just a single press.
The only minus thing that I can think of is that it doesn't provide USB charging
*
Nah. I'm good with no USB charge built in. I'm more annoyed that it doesn't support twist lockout since it keep accidental activate inside pants.
There's 4 tap to lockout but it's annoying to remember that so it ended being my shelf queen haha.

Unless I'm out for evening walks which I shouldn't do since the annoying virus still floating in air mega_shok.gif

What do you guys use throwers for? I don't go fishing or trekking so my c8 with sst40 barely even use cuz beam too tight for me.

Just curious for thrower use case.

Similar case for me.
My throwers (2015 Olight M2X-UT Javelot & 2016 Utorch UT02) are the least use lights in my collection.
I kept them by the window to shine at stray dogs barking outside at night
