hello everyone

I'm currently looking for a good nursing home around Puchong/Klang Valley area.My dad is bedridden for (almost) a year. He's been in & out of hospital frequently.I'd spare the details, the doctors told me it's quite an advanced case.As suggested by the doctors, we need to find a place where he could be taken care of properly, especially medication & food wise.I did think of private nurse, so he could relax in his own house but due to some circumstances, I find nursing home should be a better option for my dad. Please help..any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

try ask around among the senior nurses in the ward...some of them do part time job (private nursing) during off day or they got contacts.

Can't you just take care of him at your home? or get a nurse to take care of him in the house instead of bringing him to nursing home? If you can pay for nursing home, perhaps you can get him a nurse in your house. Care taker at nursing homes are not very gentle and nice with old people but at least a nurse you can still keep an eye.. (get a cctv) ..lol.

Makes me wonder if your children would bring you there when you're old and handicapped

you mentioned advanced.

do you mean terminal ?

If it is, I would recommend hospice care. Ask your doctor for the number, if he say dun have ask him to go !@#$ himself. or go ask a nurse if you want karma to settle the doctor for you sweat.gif
