imho, not a good idea, not really practical, unless your store room is to store your clothes...etc
it is better to connect store room to kitchen |

The above is the optimized plan. Optimized means min space wastage The above is the non optimized plan. Non optimized means there are wastage for walking area (you can see very clearly there is a middle space open) btw, each box is 0.5' x 0.5' would appreciate your comments This post has been edited by brotan: Apr 12 2010, 05:06 PM |

Brotan,
Maybe u should combine your storeroom and Bathroom together.. Make it into a bigger bathroom with walk-in cupboard to act as store. That's what i did to the common bathroom of my soon going to be ex-bungalow. |

QUOTE(brotan @ Apr 12 2010, 05:07 PM) bro, Yeah, going through ur bathroom is better than your bedroom! You dont want the dust from the storeroom to go into your bedroom each time u open the door. Moreover, just make it big enough to walk in.. My common bathroom is about 9x9ft, and i have tall cupboard on one side to accomodate all my detergent, toilet paper, mobs, my underwater camera casing, telescope stand etc.. a lot of storage space. This is a single storey. no stair case Added on April 12, 2010, 5:09 pm Do you mean that to access the store room, now i have to go through my bathroom ? problem with this is the storeroom supposed to store a lot of big things. so not sure if this idea is practical |

Thanks for the tip. What about really big items like ladder, boxes of clothes, power tools, etc ? you put there too ?P.S. your bathroom must be super luxury. So big |

But I would caution u against putting your power tools in there as moisture in the bathroom may make them rust. That's what happen to all my camera lenses. They were accidentally left there after the renovation. Fungus grew on them and I had to spend a few k cleaning them and replacing the lense components.P.S. your bathroom must be super luxury.
