I just go PC fair, and notice magic still Rm1499 without negotiation yet. The sales guy told me they discontinue this product. So no more white model for me. I shall wait for HTC legend price drop then...

I m attracted by the price of magic. but then i understand a lot from lyn forumer that no market place in magic.... should I wait few more month for legend or grab magic now?

Yea.. Motorola droid already in market, then desire is same batch with legend, so the price hard to drop. Waiting for new phone coming from HTC then, hope the price for legend drop... btw, HTC hero price still the same.. =.=

Go for the latest model if you have the money.
Legend, Droid, X10 all are good Android platform phone.

If your budget is not enough, you can easily get 2nd hand Magic for under RM1000. smile.gif

on the contrary, i think the legend is worth every sen. it performs like a charm, has all the essential features you need and more and is highly customizable.

also, between the desire and legend, the performance difference is not noticeable unless you're running more than 10+ apps simultaneously, in which case is purely bad user habit.

just for the updated android 2.1 and the android marketplace, i'd say go for the legend - it has a lot more mileage than the magic.

just my two cents smile.gif

Legend has bad battery life in comparison due to the AMOLED screen and faster processor. Also poor WiFi sensitivity.
All products FYI will be discontinued after a year or so. You think they will continue making Legend after a year? They would already come out with a replacement product. Legend is to replace Hero by the way...

No, but you can do a nandroid backup of your original state. If you have any problem just flash back the original state and send it in for warranty

The Legend's Wifi sensitivity is not at all poor. It's actually about standard Wifi strength for a mobile phone but somehow, the Wifi strength display logo is a little inaccurate (or maybe too accurate?) and seems to display a lower signal strength despite the signal being good.

Proof?
My class in Uni is on the 7th floor. The Wifi antenna (router) is on the 5th floor across the block. My old Nokia N79 could hardly manage a Wifi connection when I'm in my class. The Legend shows a signal strength of less than one bar (only the circle thingy is lighted up) yet I am able to sustain a more stable connection compared to my old phone. Doesn't really make a difference though, cuz my Uni's Wifi is crap. Only thing I could do properly with the connection was update my weather app XD
My classmate's laptop cant even detect the Wifi connection btw.

Since Digi is a fan of HTC, pray that they will bundle Desire along with its package. I know Legend is already there.

Desire has local support by SiS; nearest support for N1 is in Sg.
N1 has trackballs that can accumulate dust like mouse scroll..
N1's touch sensitive button can be harder to use to many..

yup` i'm thinking the same.. I like the limited edition black Desire better though~ but brown/graphite is good enough for me.

Legend has good looks but too 'plain' for my taste, it looks like one metal bar to me.. N1 and Desire's layers of two shades of colours are more visual variety to my taste.
Personally, I find the trackball in N1 a bit out of place from overall design, while the optical trackpad of Desire gives an elegant finish to it.
