I went for COD to sell my HTC Touch Diamond. Lucky I ask him to COD at McD. He didnt give a confirmation on the price, so I thought he agreed on my listed price. Then he start sweet talk and treat me some McD.

At last we agreed on the price (because its too long and my gf is waiting out somewhere), he then says want to interbank using the phone WiFi. shocking.gif (not that the phone cant, but the screen is small for a security)

I said why? He said only got some cash in his wallet.

I said go ATM la. He said didnt bring ATM card, left at home.

I said go back home, I can wait. He insist me to follow him go back home. Sh*t, want to 'parang' me ah? (he did also ask me if I got any friends living there)

I said nvm, you go back home, then come again with money.

Then he left agree.

After 10 minutes he sms me said his wife wont let him buy new phone.

sad.gif Now Im CODoPhobia. Please guys, invite your friend to accompany you

wow! luckily you have a clear mind to tackle this issue. Sometimes, people might be a little blur and end up falling into this buyer's trap.

Good job!!

lol..if he comes in a gang...i will deal across the gate.
If he knows i own the phone n wanna rob me...he can always find any victim anywhere...doesn't have to come online n look for me right?
last but not least, i will ask for LYN ID before COD.
If not forummer, i will keep myself alarmed.
It's always good to be protective. smile.gif

Lol, interesting scenario. Well if he really had devious intentions I doubt he'd be ethical enough to treat you to Mc'Ds. Well in the end he notified you that he canceled the deal after treating you. But its always good to be careful and not paranoid. Maybe the guy was just eccentric, it is quite suspicious for someone not to bring the cash when under COD (Cash on Delivery) terms. tongue.gif
Well just my two cents.

yes, sometimes people really didn't bring the cash. They expect to withdraw from nearby ATM. For eg, meeting at petrol station with ATM. This is one way for the buyer to protect himself. But if on that day ATM faulty then..... sad.gif
