F.3.A.R. (referred as F.E.A.R. 3), was officially announced in April 8, 2010 , along with its trailer. The game will be developed by Day 1 Studios, in collaboration with Monolith.
According to the announcement, the gameplay will feature a "Generative Scare System" to change the placement and timing of enemies "on each playthrough".
The story will follow Alma and her baby's birth. The "Point Man" will make a return from the first game (this time without his balaclava as seen on the trailer), as well as Paxton Fettel,
even giving hints of a co-op mode involving the two, each with their unique powers. The game will also feature a script co-written by Steve Niles (30 Days of Night) and in-game cinematics
directed by filmmaker John Carpenter (Halloween, Village of the Damned).
The game is set to release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in Fall 2010.
