In conjunction with Cyberjaya Paintball Championship League, Games Monster with support from Werdna Hol Sportz, Cyberjaya TV and Play-Beyond.Net will organise the Cyberjaya Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Tournament on 2 May 2010 starting from 10.00 am until end.

Details of the tournament are as follows:-

Date:
2 May 2010 - Qualifying & Final

Time:
Registration/Ballot - Starting 10.00 am - 11.00 am
Game Start - Starting 11.30 am until end

Entrance Fee:
RM 150 per team (5 members in a team)

Maximum Team:
16 team (first come first serve)

Prizes:
Champion - RM 1,000
2nd Place - RM 500
3rd Place - Hamper
4th Place - Hamper

Game:
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Platform:
PlayStation 3

Tournament Format:
Qualifying = Round Robin (Top 2 team of each group will be qualified to the final)
Final = Knock Out

Game Setting:
1. Game Mode: Team Death Match
2. Time Limit: 10 minute
3. Score Limit: 10,000 points

Team option:
1. Spectating - Disable
2. Wave Spawn Delay - None
3. Force Respawn - Enable
4. Radar Always On - No
5. Friendly Fire - Enable

Player Option:
1. No.of Lives - Unlimited
2. Raspawn Delay - None
3. Max Health - Normal
4. Health Regeneration - Disable
5. Allow Kill Cam - Enable

Game Play Option:
1. Headshot Only - Disable
2. Perks - Enable
3. Kill Streak Rewards - Enable
4. Hardcore Mode - Disable
5. 3rd Person - Disable

Game Format:

1. Round Robin
- 4 team in a group
- Each team will play 3 match
- Map selection - Coin toss and winner will choose map and loser will choose team
- Map: Invasion, Karachi, Rundown, Rust, Skidrow, Terminal, Highrise
- Victory condition is Highest Score at end of match time
- Top 2 team of each group will be qualified to the final

Group Score Calculation:

1. Win : 3 points
2. Draw : 1 points
3. Lose: 0 points
4. If points tied between team, the following rules applied in order:-
- Point Difference (point scored minus away point)
- Point scored
- Point away
- Rematch

2. Final Round
- Best 2 of 3 matches
- Each team to choose their favorite map in list and opponent will choose team
- Marshall will choose map in 3rd match (if any)
- Map: Invasion, Karachi, Rundown, Rust, Skidrow, Terminal, Highrise
- Victory condition is Highest Score at end of match time
- Winner proceed to next round


Rules & Regulations:

1. Participants are allowed to bring their Frag FX at their own risk (if missing or broken)

2. Participants are allowed/encourage to bring their own game controller at their own risk (if missing or broken)

3. Organizer have the right to change the tournament format, game format, prizes, time, venue, date, etc. without given any prior notice

A bit the expensive right for the registration fees? Not many people are able to afford that kind of registration fees, even PC competitions aren't that expensive.

That's because FPS games are logically meant to be played with a keyboard and mouse. When a control interface is mapped to delta-x/y instead of straight x/y it's just clunky and cumbersome.

This argument has been done to the death over the past five years or so by millions of people though, so what ever.
