no. It's just like normal streamyx combo package with a different price and a free netbook. hahaha
*
that means confirmed there is no such thing as Speed Cap Limit, right??
hmm.gif

Cool-Uni-Pack = NO Speed Cap Limit..
UniFi = got Speed Cap Limit?

did u get any "Surat Akuan" printed from TM Point staff after u have successfully subcribed to Cool-Uni-Pack?

Inside the "Surat Akuan" should contains the following:
Butir Lengkap Panggilan STD = RM1.00
Talian Telefon (4KM) = RM25.00
Tambahan Setiap 0.5KM = RM0.00
Alat Telefon - PERCUMA (STM) = RM0.00

Just curious...
Recently change my Streamyx 1MB to CoolUniPack 1MB...
Alot of changes and curiosity...
Old Streamyx 1MB (been used 2 years before)
Tranfers rate: max i get (in 2 years) 250 kbps...
New Streamyx CoolUniPack 1MB (just a week old)
Transfer rate: max i get 3.5Mbps and avg 1.4Mbps...
and i'm very2 sure that in TM contract my line is 1MB... anyone can clarify why this happened?
ps: testing server in malaysia via speedtest and my download 10Mbps and upload 500kbps!
*
Package Streamyx 1Mbps, but MAX only can get 250kbps?
it is very slow slow... sweat.gif

Can u use MBps and Mbps wisely? MB stands for Mega byte, Mb stands for Mega bit... It's pretty confusing.
*
here is the rule of Thumb for Computing world:
1 Byte = 8 bit(s) biggrin.gif
1 Mbps = 128 kBps = 1024 kbps

Do u all think that the so called Streamyx Cool-Uni-Pack is trustworthy, reliable and valueable?
We all know that "there is no FREE Lunch in the World"... Does this theory applies to Cool-Uni-Pack?
so, my Parents advise me that to double confirm with others before installing the Cool-Uni-Pack.

Lower Price
FREE WiFi modem
FREE HP Netbook

Currently, I'm using NORMAL Streamyx 1Mbps, generally I can achieve ~1.4Mbps in Downloading stuff.
But now I scare that AFTER installing Cool-Uni-Pack (1Mbps), I CANNOT achieve such great speed anymore... sad.gif icon_question.gif

I need some Real-Life FEEDBACKs from all Cool-Uni-Pack users. notworthy.gif

P/S: Is it compulsory for all TM Contractor must wear thier own uniforms?
becoz today got 2 TM Contractors came to prepare to install 2nd Fixed Line, but they didn't wear any uniforms.

yes, u can get a free hp netbook with lower price of streamyx BUT the contract period will be 2 years.
the line quality is depends on the area, before u upgrade, (i assume u wan the 4mbps package) check ur snr margin and line attenuation (how to check?) see the unipack or 4mbps club thread, see whether ur line support or not.

im user of unipack 4mbps, no problem so far and using the netbook now =)
*
I will stick back with 1Mbps, becoz I feel 1Mbps is ady enough for me...

so, how do u feel about ur 4Mbps speed?
is it really 4Mbps, or much slower than it? smile.gif

Actually, I'm just worry about the new line quality (Speed) of the new package (Cool-Uni-Pack) sad.gif
I'm scare later I only can achieve (MAX.) Slower than 1Mbps sad.gif
or perhaps frequent disconnection etc... (TOUCHWOOD) sad.gif

currently I'm using NORMAL Streamyx 1Mbps, usually Max Download Speed = 1.4Mbps laugh.gif

after I switch to Cool-Uni-Pack 1Mbps, could I no longer be so lucky already? wink.gif
for example: later MAX become 0.8~0.9Mbps only, is it possible? wink.gif

maybe last time ur line was cap at 1.5mb...that is why u get 1.4mb
now on the new line...u got cap exactly 1mb....
*
Am I allow to create a new Thread to collect Statistics (Poll) to show that how many percents of users here are experiencing the similar problem that I mentioned?

i.e.: Switching from Normal Streamyx (1Mbps) to Cool-Uni-Pack (1Mbps), but ends up that Slower Speed than before? e.g. 0.8~0.9Mbps only wink.gif
