they say that if ur house thr cannot support 4mbps then 2mbps wil be given to u <--- ah =.=

Don't need to pay for phone rental? Are you sure of this?

technician  came installed tmhome line last thursday, they said upon receive a call from TM then my streamyx account will be activate =.= i wonder when they will call me . has been waiting few days

For those who have managed to register for this, what kind of details and supporting documents do you need to attach to the registration forms? Would only a photocopy of the student card suffice?

15/03/2010: Went to TMPoint Serdang to collect the form and get to know the requirements. I was informed that I have several 4Mbps port available in my housing area.
17/03/2010: Went to TMPoint Serdang again to submit the form with all the requirements needed. Since Streamyx was under my name, it was categorized as an 'upgrade' which is easier and faster.
23/03/2010: The technician showed up to install the FREE WiFi modem with 4Mbps. However, due to problems with my line's attenuation and noise margin, seemed like the 4Mbps is not viable. He told me to come over the next day to further troubleshoot the problem.
25/03/2010: Called the technician to come since yesterday he didn't come. About the next day or so, I kept sms/call him to pay me a visit regarding the issue and he said he will but never did.
29/03/2010: Went to TMPoint Serdang again to tell them what I should be doing now? Apply for slower speed or wait for the technician to try to eliminate problem and retry to install 4Mbps again? The TM officer called the technician and the technician said within the next 3 days, a cable expert guy will come over to try to fix the problem.
01/04/2010: Smsed/called the technician again to bring over the cable guy. No respond.
06/04/2010: He picked up my call and said he'll show me the problem in person this Saturday coz I have never met him before because it was my brother who allowed him to install on 23rd.
09/04/2010: Went to TMPoint Serdang to cancel my previous application for 4Mbps to a slower speed 1Mbps so that I can get the netbook quicker I suppose. But things were never on my side. Their system was offline and they can't process a single transaction/application/etc.. No wonder no customer in the premise when I entered.
10/04/2010: Went to TMPoint Kajang (since they open on Saturday) to apply for 1Mbps. When it was my turn, my luck ran away in haste. The system was very slow to the point it was impossible to submit the data that has been keyed-in. Instead, they photostated my application form and said they'd submit them again once the system is fine. I begged them to process my application as fast as they can coz I'm done with waiting. I don't whether they take my words seriously or not.

Fuhh.. So bad la my luck.. The difficulty level was maybe similar to those people who need to terminate their line first.

I'm a student at Malacca and that's why I can only come to TMPoint on Monday or Friday since these two days I have no class.

14/04/2010: Received a call from TM Point Kajang and ask bout my details a bit more. By night, I checked mips.tm.net.my and saw my order was successful and my upgrade status is being processed.

Until today (19 April), I received no email/mail/call from TM whatsoever. When will I be getting my netbook and Streamyx Zone ID and Hypptunes thingy? So, it's been more than a month now.

And now I saw this in front of my house.. Does it mean I will be able to apply for 4Mbps soon?

If i am upgrade my package from 512kb Combo to the 512kb cool uni pack, will there be any technician to come to my house to configure the setting ? [i have homeline already]

Because i applied on 16.4.2010, and until now no one had contacted me.

Wanna make sure the procedure first before calling 100

i applied new home line together with the streamyx coolunipack, but i received my first month bill with rm26 rental, but no streamyx charges..is that normal or i thought they gonna combine both bill?

is 100 the considered as ur so-called "calls" ?

just submitted the application form yesterday...
just now get call from technician that come to my house now..

fixed line activated and now waiting TM to send a job order to streamyx for activation.

It does not come with a DVD/CD. Everything is in your lil' netbook. You have to burn out a copy (3 DVDs) then you have your recovery disc + win7 starter + everything.

Warranty covered the hardware parts only, as far as I know.
Not sure. I emailed them on a weekday.
Well, it depends also. I have good SNR and attenuation but cannot support 4mb, not even 2mb cause they do not provide that speed in my area. Stupid. Maybe why 4mb was very cheap, due to lack of users!
