Currently I am waiting for my application be processed. Its just a simple 4Mbps Streamyx Combo to 4Mbps Streamyx UniPack upgrade and yet my application is still being processed. I am not sure how long it takes for them to process my application , but never the less. I'll still wait (maximum of a week)

very dissapointed with this package...my brother apply for this...but then until now the cooling off period he told me is still on...dunno y they do things so damn slow...as if they din even processed the thing or smth.

Recently change my Streamyx 1MB to CoolUniPack 1MB...

Alot of changes and curiosity...

Old Streamyx 1MB (been used 2 years before)
Tranfers rate: max i get (in 2 years) 250 kbps...

New Streamyx CoolUniPack 1MB (just a week old)
Transfer rate: max i get 3.5Mbps and avg 1.4Mbps...

and i'm very2 sure that in TM contract my line is 1MB... anyone can clarify why this happened?

ps: testing server in malaysia via speedtest and my download 10Mbps and upload 500kbps!

So theoretically my line should be able to support 4Mbps?

i cant found any "2yrs warranty " wording at the box..mind to take a photo on it ??

Anyway those who wanna hack Ridger TM router , it can do QoS and you can even block p2p , do shaping - but but but its all done in command line. So basically you gotta pick up the manual and read. I'll write a  guide later

1. Download PuTtty (just google for it and download)

2. Type 192.168.1.1 and select telnet

3. then type tmadmin/tmadmin for user/pass

4. Welcome to the system. You're able to edit some additional settings. If you know how to configure iptables , simply type sh
5. Some cool tricks , once you have typed sh. Type cat /proc/cpuinfo. You'll notice it uses a broadcom chipset which is similar to a linksys WRT54GL series. I'll see if i can able to slice a firmware together so that we can unlock a lot of great stuff with this router. For now , this is something for you to "play play with"

Those who with combo , aka same case like me. Forget it , they are not going to process it. How can you do ? - Complain to MCMC , send e-mail to TM - be polite and insist that you demand a tech to come to your place to activate. The package gets activated once tech comes , basically I called up 100 couple of times - made report , report report and asked them to forward it asap and report to me. You gotta push them on this.
