Update:

Dashed to TMPoint after work, signed up a new landline and streamyx account (will terminate the old one after i get the new one...need internet for assignments)

The guy charged me RM75 + RM10 Setem hasil. Said that the technician will come within 7 days and netbook will be processed after that. Gave me one Surat Akuan then sent me off to take the caller ID telephone.

Apparently my area supports only up till 1mpbs (but the fella said I can upgrade for free next time). I asked him where in Penang is 4mbps supported, he waved his hands signally the perimeter of the telekom building *speechless*

He wasn't really helpful though. Blur blur dei. I don't have anything else for confirmation cept the surat akuan =.=

I wonder if there is a chance they will reject the application why they give the telephone 1st? lolz

I'm suddenly wondering, do we have to pay for our phone bills? Or all included in the RM68 1mbps package =.=

Did they give you any sort of confirmation letter after you submitted the form and paid RM75? I kinda afraid the guy i talked to messed up, cos his superior was standing there scolding him while he was filling up my application XD

Problem is I applied for new phone line. THe fella didn't give me a phone number, or is it stated on the surat akuan? =.=

Out of curiosity, after I did my application, how long will it take for the wiring guy (whatever you call him) to come to my house to install new wires?

Incidentally i have an existing phone line, but I registered a new one as the old one was under my mom's name. Do they need to do extra wiring? Or can i ask them to use the existing wiring as I'm gonna terminate the old line as soon as the new streamyx is up.

Two chinese fella's From lotuslite called me @ 1150am and told me "U free or not? we come do wiring for u now!" *shocked, so fast arrive, luckyly i was ai home*

They told me that new wiring costs a bomb, so they said termintate line easier n faster. Let them do their thing so one guy was outside looking @ tiangs and another was inside testing my phoneline.

After he finished he told me to 'call him at 3pm if the line still down', took him RM30 then go eat lunch.

I wonder how long it will take for the streamyx installer to come...

My phone line is working, but not my streamyx (though i could use my old line but apparently not =.=)

After that... my neighborhood's electricity went down... =.=

I had my phoneline done last week, but another malay guy called me yesterday and told me he was coming to my house to install homeline, he had all my details but the phone number assigned was wrong. Of course i said no XD

4mbps not available at my area

My cap is around 1.5mbps, so i get 1.3mbps download speeds on average.
Depends on your cap.
