UPDATE: I have just confirmed that the Planex Bluetooth headset works PERFECTLY fine. The trouble I had previously were with users of SE W950i and SE K610i to be specific. But today I tested with with some fellas using a SE K618i and Nokia 6120 Classic and they had no issues with my call. I didn't expect such contrasts in the results.

Will post on the other two Bluetooth headsets when I test them out with other phone units.

Hi guys,

I have been experiencing problems with a few of my perfectly working Bluetooth headsets with the Nexus One since day one. While I could hear the other party crystal clear, the person on the other side always complain that my voice constantly breaks up and seemed to distant and soft. As a result, I have resorted to using the stock headsets, but after a while it hurt my ears, so in the end I bought a Sonicgear Mobilelink 3.5mm jack and used stock Sony Ericsson headphones from my old SE W950. I also bought Ifrogz's Earpollution Plugz which worked well with voice, but the sound quality was rather flat (Frequency Response: 30Hz to 20 KHz) and not entirely suitable for listening to music.

These are the ones I have tried using with the Nexus One:

1) Planex BT-MiniHS-X
[Link]

2) Bluetrek Metal
[Link]

3) B-speech ISAS
[Link]

I have had no problems using Planex with my old SE W950, and Bluetrek and B-speech with my SE X1, although B-speech voice quality is quite bad, sounds muffled all the time. I have had some occasional successes (like 2 out of 5 times) with Planex and Bluetrek with the Nexus One, but B-speech was absolutely hopeless on a consistent basis. Previously, the sound quality on Planex and Bluetrek was great, the latter better of the both. However, the size of Bluetrek's earbuds were irregular, so since loosing them, I have not been able to use it.

Has anyone experienced this problem? I refrained from buying another Bluetooth headset unless I'm 100% sure it works well on the Nexus One.
