What will you do when your laptop get stolen?? Instead of jumping up and down or crying or being mad about this, why don't put some hopes on this programme and guess what?? IT'S FREE!!!! Some will say that those thieves will format your laptop so this might not help but I think we should be more optimistic. Who knows that thief is a computer idiot?? sweat.gif At least this programme does give you some chance to get your laptop back. You can download it here
Below is the test i did.

When you activate missing status, you will get an email:
Attached Image

You can also set an alarm to inform the thief that you are monitoring your laptop(the alarm sound can help you to find where is your laptop if it's nearby):
Attached Image

After X minutes(you can set how long you want), you will get the picture of the thief, location of your laptop, programme running and screenshot of your laptop as well ^^ (this is what make the programme so impressive):
Attached Image
*In order to get the location, you need WIFI connection(What I mean is the thief need to use your laptop to connect to WIFI) or built-in GPS adapter.
What are you waiting for?? Get it now before it's too late!!! Hopefully this thing can be useful to all of you.
This programme not only for Windows. It's also for Mac OS and Linux as well as Mobile OS, Android!!!

This can only work if you are able to track the thief before he sells it .... you won't be able to recover if he has sold it to a bona fide 3rd party from a legal point of view ..

but interesting application ...

It also says in the program that once you have set your laptop as "missing"
Your laptop will try to connect to the nearest public Wi-Fi and send the report to you laugh.gif
Its not full proof, but at least there's still some hope of finding your beloved laptop back icon_rolleyes.gif

Good work to TS for introducing and also sharing this program, cheers!

Thanks for sharing. At least it gives us chance to find and maybe a hope to recover it back. But if you wanted more than that, a notebook equipped with TPM is a better choice. Although you can't track the notebook, but a well configured notebook will becomes brick to the thief. Just inform the manufacturer when it go missing, then they will black list the notebook coz I think only the manufacturer can reset the TPM.

Hehe, not all thief are smart laugh.gif
They would definitely like to rummage through your laptop 1st before attempting to reformat it.... which more or less give us a slight chance of getting our laptops back.

Just wondering, if we have pin-pointed the spot where the stolen laptop is... What should we do then? Call police? Are they even informed of this type of device (especially Malaysian police), later they consider as a prank sweat.gif Or just take broom and go hit the thief? hehe icon_rolleyes.gif

Ofcourse reported to the police and take the photo of that dumb thief to the police station and hunt for him ! If our police really that useless then i'm speechless. Anyway, i think the post that warn the thief that the laptop is stolen is just useless. Whenever the thief see that message sure straight away turn off the laptop and run. Anyway, where is my personal answer? hehe

Agreed, the warning post is not particularly useful unless the culprit is one of your friends zzzz hehe~
The time taken to report to police may actually give a chance for the thief to escape T____T
What personal answer? icon_rolleyes.gif

if wifi turned off and the laptop is not connected to wired connection after stolen then this software cant do anything

gonna give it a try, it would be cool if we can actually get the position of our laptop by using sms laugh.gif

but that sound so impossible, for now.
