How do they work?
u appoint them to design/ dress up your house/ office, some of them r true designer some of them r half designer half contractor, some of them r very flexible... design to suit your taste/liking, some of them think their design r the best.

How do they charge?

market rate from 6-10% of the i.d package, for small job they charge lum sum

What are the information do they need from us? (Developer point of view)

your house/ office floor plan, your purpose of the property, your preference theme/color/taste.........and the most important thing is your budget

The other thing to consider is whether you are looking out for a reputable ID firm or you would consider getting an up and rising ID firm, meaning either freelance sort of people or a young firm. It affects the cost, the final product and your expectations.

from what i know.... one word --> expensive, bcoz they using their creative to make ur house interior look gorgeous.... hehehe...

however, they need ur floor plan and what theme u want for ur house design...
