9800 GTX (im using it) performs well even with optimized graphics performance in all latest games so far. But it seems to overheat more easily compared to other, i had to openthe casing to allow ventilation.

its hard to compare between 2 different series, have to consult nvidia technician for deeper details.
But higher graphics RAM means better handling of graphics intensity, will be able to take in more before FPS drops
