Dermatologist that I recommend (however not in Subang area, in Damansara)

1.
Dr Tan Lay Peng (Female)
Klinik LP Tan
11, Jalan Wan Kadir 2
Taman Tun Dr. Ismail
60000 Kuala Lumpur
Tel: 03-7728-1733

Rating: ***** (5/5)
Price: $$$$ (4/5)
Summary: Dr Tan is a very experienced Dermatologist, and gives no non-sense advice for skin problems. Very good in solving skin problems. However, her consultation is on a more pricey side, but it's worth it. Her clinic is not that crowded (probably due to it's pricey consultation).

2.
Dr Koh Chuan Keng (Male)
Koh Skin Specialist Clinic
5M, Jalan SS21/1A
Damansara Utama
47400 Petaling Jaya
Tel: 03-7725-8437
Fax: 03-7725-8439

Rating: ***** (5/5)
Price: $$$$ (4/5)
Summary: Dr Koh is also a very experienced Dermatologist (family run business), very kind and understanding doctor. Always call to make appointment because his clinic is very full most of the time (even on weekdays!).

3.
Dr Ranjit Singh (Male)
Klinik Pakar Kulit Ranjit
C4, Jalan SS15/4D
47500 Subang Jaya
Petaling Jaya
Tel: 03-5631-6090
Fax: 03-5637-1610

Rating: ***** (5/5)
Price: $$$ (3/5)
Summary: Dr Ranjit is one of the well known skin specialist in Subang area (this interest you smile.gif ). You MUST make appointment with him because his clinic is always FULL every single day.

Added on April 8, 2010, 1:34 pmI personally also suffer from ance and oily problem.

I start to use Origins Check and Balance cleanser and my acne did reduce.

To reduce acne scars on my forehead, I went to do Chemical Peeing at Koh's Skin Specialist (RM130 per session at that time). It somehow did make the skin smoother. But because the scars are too old, not fresh, it can't be ridded completely 100%.

I also use a very good acne treatment - Dalacin T to treat pimples. You just need to press the solution tip on the acne and it's done! Try to ask from the dermatologist that you're seeing, do check with him if it's suitable for you.

About oily skin, I find it hard to control it. I used Origins Oil Refiner and A Perfect World Toner or Oily skin, but it didn't help much. I did Charcoal facial mask every week also didn't help. I still stick to using a oil blotter about every 3 hours to remove excess oil on my face.

How Dalacin T packaging looks like (You can get it in Pharmacy as well)

Dalacin T only works for around 3 months.. The bacteria will grow resistant to it.. dont use it for long term.

Can someone recommand a good doctor or dermatologist around subang area for oily and acne skin problem >.< *Urgent*
Hope i did not break the T and C >.< Thank you very much

Though I cannot recommend a good doctor to u in subang area. Why not you try Differin Gel at night? It works wonder but it's not cheap. By the way, if acne is real bad, you should take oral medication eg Antibiotics or Roaccutance. You can get Roaccutane from Dermatologist, but you may go bankrupt when you acne problem settles... RM10 a tablet, and you may need to take one to two a day for 6 months! Then you will get baby skin on your face.

I went to dermatologist previously (August last year). she suggested me differin. used it for around 6 months. but my face still the same.. or might become worse i guess..

don't know what else to try. feels like wanna give up.. really2 low self esteem this past few weeks.. sad.gif

Maybe your should add in a day cream, like Benzac or Dalacin T gel. Give it a month, if it doesnt work, you probably need oral antibiotics. Any pus on your face by the way? If yes, better go straight for oral antibiotics.

can't get from pharmacies?

Pharmacists are not suppose to sell antibiotics without doctor's prescription, but some rogue pharmacists do.
