QUOTE(Andy0625 @ Apr 9 2010, 02:37 AM) Just noticed it's V8 already , keep them going. Andy, I had the same problem, I changed the Fuel Cap/cover and its fixed.. The rubber had worned out and everytime I take a right turn some petrol comes out..anyway , my friend told me that he notice petrol smells right after we reach our destination. It's not from inside the car but somewhere around the refilling cap/petrol there. Anyidea if it's leaking or anything I chould check ? Added on April 9, 2010, 10:47 am QUOTE(swk_sam @ Apr 9 2010, 09:11 AM) I tried Falken on my last car & I can say nice on dry grip sucks on wet grip. Then using Turanza both wet & dry grip is average. I change toSime astar 300 & wet grip better than Falken worst than Turanza. After that I using NCT 5 ECO dry grip is better than sime astar 300 wet grip worst than Sime astar 300. Now using NCT 5 & I am sure wet & dry grip + noise level is better than Sime astar 300. I would never recomment NCT 5 as it wears of too fast for spirited driving and after 30% thread has gone you start losing grip real bad in wet or dry.Even worse is the conti cc1, though I heard the conti cpc2 is quite good, but not sure if got 195/55/r15. I'm no falken ziex 912 and wet grip isnt too good either but dry is quite decent. This post has been edited by ray86: Apr 9 2010, 10:47 AM |

I bleed and refill the brake fluid today.. still same problem:(
very soft brake pedal.. first 1 inch does nothing.. this is a big problem in emergency braking situation. The mechanic said that its normal for all waja and is probably cause by the master brake pump. Can anyone comment? |

QUOTE(yngwie @ Apr 21 2010, 08:22 PM) ray86@ Yea, I have been reading that it is real good. yes, I got a qoute of rm250 per pc inc balancing and rubber valves. PS3 it is then changed my regular ride to 245/45/r17 (rear only) but waja not yet cuz' car still in tuning mode. easily the best ever tyre i've had ever use! c.drive, s.drive, t1r, goodyear f1(directional), direzza dz101, bridgestone re007(or 010?? can't remember), and even the older ps2 is a no match! wet and dry traction / grip is top notch! don't be fooled by the soft looking tread. it's water dissipation is better than those directional tyre. forget about ps2, get the ps3 instead! btw, stock waja 195/55/r15 should be around 240 bucks in klang area. seems that GPS reading is about 10 -11kmh slower than what I see on the speedo meter.. which is more accurate? I'm on 195/55/r15 rubber..I used to stick to GPS reading as I regarded it as more accurate..
but yesterday, I got stopped at a road block and police gave me a reading same as what I saw on the speedo meter and not GPS.. isnt the police speed gun the most accurate? Oh btw, GPS says my top is 185kmh.. speedo looks like 195+kmh.. This post has been edited by ray86: Apr 26 2010, 11:19 AM Attached thumbnail(s) |

Unfortunate incident for me yesterday..
was driving at about 60kmh.. then suddenly I heard belt screeching sound from my engine.. i let go my accelerator and the engine died. Lost power steering and was stuck in the middle of the road.. luckily no accident.. Instintively turned off AC and tried to restart the engine.. managed to start and drive to the side... Was a bit scared to drive until I knew it wont happen again.. so I poped the hood and all the belts looks ok and is moving fine.. then I tried turning on the AC.. the engine screeches and dies.. I called my mech and he suspects that the compressor has locked up and jammed.. Haih.. now driving without AC.. dunno how much to service also.. |

QUOTE(ThunderGod_Cid @ Apr 29 2010, 11:50 AM) Ray : your current compression is either sanden or patco. It can be changed to Denso one, but i comes with a set, with both bracket and tensioner pulley which costs an additional RM80 or so. Hmm.. should I go ahead and buy the parts first then send to the shop or they can repair the condensor? Cos my friends shop in sea park can give me cheaper on parts..After putting in a new comp you can do an aircond flush for optimum performance, and run on synthetic aircond refrigerant oil Added on April 29, 2010, 11:51 am hahaha after that the fella no reply d Also, it would be better to go a aircon specialist shop right? Today my left power window doesnt want to move! OMG.. die die.. how to reflash ECU now!! lol.. |
