QUOTE(mxsteven @ Apr 10 2010, 02:19 AM) lols... too much spam from me izit haha.. I see...pipe sizing for 1.6 liter normally are 1.8". Since our car is high compression type, 2" is much suitable and it should paired with S-flow if you want to improve low end coz ur car need some back pressure to maintain at optimum power. Mid box just replaced with any bullet! Maybe later when i come to remap ECU you could see my setup..then we can know how was it going to be.. |

QUOTE(mxsteven @ Apr 12 2010, 01:30 AM) why u need low temp thermo? ur car wont run at optimum power if the temp below 95c ... Waja temp will maintain at 100-105c exactly like Evo does. Really?Coz last time i remember i pull out the thermostat the top cover gasket can stand long, not much leaking but suffer when tempreature drops like just on the engine....now even using perdana v6 drive high speed always got leaking..hopefully can get 70-72 Celcius will be fine.. |

QUOTE(ThunderGod_Cid @ Apr 12 2010, 12:09 PM) dont get what ure trying to say bro... leaking has got nothing to do with thermostat. Even if your thermostat opens that late like steven says, your fan is already preset to switch on at the temperature, no lower than that. What i mean is if i could get lower temp thermostat at least the water flow can be much better as the thermostat opens at lower temp, then can prolong abiet my head cover gasket.cannot tahan now every 6 months need to change it..huhuAdded on April 12, 2010, 12:09 pmalarm - not to prevent thieves from stealing ur car, but to alarm you and make u aware that ur car is being stolen |

QUOTE(ThunderGod_Cid @ Apr 12 2010, 12:28 PM) Even with ur current thermostat, your head gasket shouldnt be giving way that soon. Head got skim? Gasket original? Workmanship ok? Got last time..workmanship ok..no problem..actually trying to seach for oil cooler, but need the one that has at most 4 fins, not more than that..if the thermostat is much cheaper than the oil cooler then it will be much better.. |

It' not engine gasket leak, but the cover head gasket leaking..my engine cover head gasket tends to harden faster, at most 8 months so comes to the time some oil leak will appear at the head, if not clean will see the oil at the header plate..
Last time when i open the thermostat as you said abeit more FC, but the rubber is much longer stands.Rev kaw2 also the head cover still no leaks.. |
