Just noticed it's V8 already , keep them going.

anyway , my friend told me that he notice petrol smells right after we reach our destination. It's not from inside the car but somewhere around the refilling cap/petrol there.

Anyidea if it's leaking or anything I chould check ?

I would never recomment NCT 5 as it wears of too fast for spirited driving and after 30% thread has gone you start losing grip real bad in wet or dry.

Even worse is the conti cc1, though I heard the conti cpc2 is quite good, but not sure if got 195/55/r15. I'm no falken ziex 912 and wet grip isnt too good either but dry is quite decent.
*
Thanks for your recommendation , mind share how much is the Fuel cap/cover they usually charged ? I can get it directly at spare spart shop right ?

Anyway , what's so worse about Conti CC1 ? have been using it and don't feel anything worse if compare to NCT 5.

Steven , actually what's the price to flash the rom ? It'll be advisable to done exhaust setting before flashing or it's okay after all ?

Steven , is it possible to make the ecu have two setting within a flip of switch ?

It would be great if have something like that , one for economy while another one for performance. *just a suggestion anyway.

By the way , will modding the rom make a huge differences in FC ? Rm400 for first timer right ?

can try and map from 1k rpm and try... who knows it will give a huge differences hehe drool.gif

so far with edited rom i think it saves fuel except for the aggressive KilleRom..
My car now edi 200km just makan 1 petak! normally if i drive this way with stock rom habis liow... sure half tank edi
*
Which means that it saves fuel compare to the original rom ? seems really like a good mod and worth the bucks. smile.gif poison.. doh.gif
sam , mine is end of 2001 maybe mine couldn't flash too. sad.gif maybe next time should let steven have a look during tt.

Anyway guys , you guys recall about the grounding you had installed ? I'm wondering if it's necessary to ground the TB and Gasket/Engine Head ?

This is what I do , not sure if it's correct. As for grounding the alternator , I plan to buy 0AWG to do it.

IMO, you already have connected to the body via that spark plug coil/cable, and dont open that screw of the one u circled, you may no screw back to the same pressure as it will affect the gasket or rubber seal(cant remember the name), no need ground to tb.
*
Thanks for the prompt reply. since tb is pretty much just opening to let the air in , it doesnt need the grounding aye ?

besides the TB , (below tb) i have also ground for the ignition coil/cable/ , have a look at the picture above. is that point necessary ?
Any further suggestion on further improving it ?

from what i know, the engine block the the most important part, yes, that ignition coil there is good, i have one which i have there grounded. tb always open close not much(least) important, because not drive by wire. i see you got the important parts already, the other point u put, you will not feel the effect. you can try the gearbox as i am going to fit one soon.
*
If you have seen the picture in drexchan website before , he mentioned that one of his customer got ground to the gearbox but suffer from higher FC. ( http://drexchan.fotopic.net/c1097996.html )

Mind share the point/picture of the engine block in 4G18?

NSE , heading back to Ipoh at night that time. how many of you guys feel tired when driving too slow or at a constant speed ? let's say 110 to 130km/h ?

QUOTE(tjroy @ Apr 16 2010, 10:24 PM)
i never go more than 170km/h, haha no balls. i guessed his customer floored too much after gaining some improvement, and also different car will give different effect. your car's body= that grounding at the ignition coil there. if you want you can ground from the nut pointing to the power steering fluid tank, just make sure the cable touched the metal body not plastic.
*
The engine block you mentioning not the one @ the gasket/rubber seal screw ?

andy sorry ya, that was my gf's car. tomorrow i see my car first then i come back post here. one thing, grounding aint going to do much, to the point you cant feel much, to a same part, u ground so many cable, the current or flow will choose the most high efficiency one, the rest are like not doing anything or to such a mininum one.
*
i'm sorry about that too , tjroy. what's your nick btw ?
please let me have a look at your engine bay , buddy!

sure bohh?? Amp cable as thick as jumper cable? Do you mean the RM29.90 jumper cable?
*
I bet sam is using the HKS Grounding Cable aswell which is a 8AWG gauge wire compare to 0AWG welding cable.
Definitely know that 0AWG welding cable is the best grounding for us but I just came back from electronic shop in my hometown searching for the welding cable but without luck.
The thickest I could find is 4AWG gauge which is Rm18.00 per meter. At least we need 5 to 7 meter to have a 5 point grounding. I bet it's much better starting with the HKS grounding cable first though. biggrin.gif

The exhaust shop you mentioning is everco - kingston right ? any discount if i say recommended by you ? drool.gif
