The story:

Okay after the last ban wave i've ceased going on XBL. I have 3 accounts tied to my xbox360 but most of the time i just use my main profile to sign on. A couple of days ago i received an email from microsoft that i've activated a 1 month trial account, then 2 days later i received another mail from microsoft that someone reloaded 2000 points into my account. Now because that i've own a xbox360 for so long (4+ years) and it has been so long since i created a profile in my xbox360 i would like to ask again when we create a profile do we provide a legitimate email in the process? Coz if im not mistaken that email is being used is tied to my 3rd profile on xbox360 which i seldom/rarely sign on.

The breakdown:
main profile - hotmail A account
2nd profile - Hotmail B account
3rd profile - Gmail account.

Now if i've already own an account on the gmail account how in the world it gets tied to another person's account? From the email i got i can go to "billing.microsoft.com" and see what the guy has purchased, his address, etc etc. This guy just bought something and still has 800 points left. I then went to xbox.com and sign on and can see his friends etc etc, his current download as well.

The question:
1)Should i be worried? As i don't really sign on my 3rd profile i don't really mind that account being tied to another person, despite that all his information is being stored in my email and i have access to it. I don't really care as long as its legitimate, he plays and purchase his own stuff and i just ignore his mail. Hell, the reason is i dont even go XBL and i hardly use my 3rd profile at all.

b)I've looked on facebook and managed to find the guy. His address on facebook matches the billing address on his credit card. Should i go inform him or just ignore it?(since i dont really use the gmail account anyway)

c)How in the world did my account and his account got TIED together? Any explanation to this?

some one has been breached ur account
ur gmail also has been breached

if u bothered then...
u can change ur emel password
then that fella cannot sign in to ur 3rd account

still got 800points? spend it before it is too late

i dont think he breached my account(xbl) or email account. The reason being :

a)i can see his avatar and the avatar on my xbox is completely different. The 3rd profile on my xbox got gamer score but when i log on xbox.com to see this "different" profile, it has 0 gamerscore. Seems like that profile is new and he only played MW2, no achievements unlocked yet. Weird isn't it?

b)This gmail account is rubbish/spam account. I hardly use it only recently realised got mail from microsoft so open and check it out. If got haxx0red how come he never checked the mail or other "important" mails at all?

The question is why is he using your account? If he cheated on your account, what makes u think the points he bought was scammed too?

Do everyone a favour and change the Live ID password.

Yo bro, there are 2 different accounts. The account on my xbox is different from the account at xbox.com but both registered under same email. Know what i mean?

Maybe he made a typo with his e-mail when he registered? Perhaps your e-mail and his are similar. Since he's not using your Live account I suggest changing your gmail password just to be safe.
