Epo bro,

When did you get your Spicy red? and when did you book it? Been waiting for mine for quite a while. My SA told me the Spicy Reds are still being held due to their AP problem. Grr.

Btw, I'm not sure. Is the Spicy red colour nice? It is not as red as I've imagined. Wanted to get the white but there's just too much on the road. Too common.

Got my Red Spicy 2.0 yesterday. Pretty awesome. The colour is not as bright as I thought it was but it does feel elegant and sporty. Plus, it's special coz not much cars using it.

I do have a question to ask all here. Have anyone find out the source of the 'yik yik yik' sound coming from the back? I got it but can't determine what caused it.

Go go fortezans! rclxm9.gif

Yerp I am facing this issue, from what I notice 2 sources which I can clearly identify
1) from the foldable seat - can be solve by replacing back the seat
2) suspension - only happens when fully load going through pot holes or bump -> require to send back to SC

another issue I am facing is the fuel cap, it doesn't open at all require some push from outside on the wheel cap, seems like the placing is abit off !! fix twice in SC it will return to the current state after 1-2 weeks.. probably can look into replacement of fuel cap d.

Titarium, What do you mean by 'replacing the seat'?..Change the seat ka? I got this feeling it is the connection point of the seat and the lock

Btw, I've got my spicy red yesterday. Can you 'un-grey' me on the forte owners list? Thanks

oh sorry my mistake didn't make it specific, as in I open and place the seat back in position , something like unlocking and locking it back ... did it once and it did solve the prob..  I only notice this when I was seating at the back seat .

Looks like I need to change to passenger seating to notice more issues.

Thanks bro!

Something I like to share with all. I managed to solve a problem that some of us might have.

This is concerning the 'Yik yik yik' sound coming from the rear seats. Do not mistaken this for suspension squeaking sound (that one might need to go SC to fix).

1. Fold both rear seats down.
2. Open the flap/carpet cover that hides the seats' hinge (access from the trunk)
3. On the left passenger side, there is a small nut bolted onto the trunk's floor. I noticed that it to have some scrape marks. Seems that it was scrapping against the seat's metal frame. (Some might not have this problem if your rear seats' cushion are properly fixed at the back)
4. Get some sponge ( i used a padded double sided tape) and just cover the nut.
5. Done. No more squeaking sound. Happy! thumbup.gif

Now I can drive peacefully.

BTW, MDPS is awesome. Soooo damn light. Can't imagine how I would go back to a normal hydraulic steering system. Hehe

Haha, Can't take photo. I've already covered it with the tape. Didn't think of documenting it while I was fixing it, plus..at that time I didn't know if it was the cause of the problem.

I think the 1st batch 2.0 (CBU from korea) dah habis. Maybe now they are waiting for the Gurun plant to produce the 2.0 CKD Fortes.

To all 2.0 bros out there, wanna ask something.

Is there any problem if we go and do our alignment without going to the KIA SC? Does the MDPS and 'normal' alignment fix at tyre shops would cause any harm to the steering system? I'm hearing that some of the 2.0 fortes that went to puchong SC used a computer to deal with the MDPS?

Have anyone tried replacing the tyre with Nitrogen? Does it soften the tyre roar from the road?
