Yesterday I drove from PG to KL @5:30am for my Autofoam/SP at KL Auto. Had a nice chat with Desmond and a few interesting customers (I think my wallet got squeezed dry by him). But the service was excellent and he was pretty generous in attending to any complain...just don't get too addicted to his "poisons" sweat.gif. It was pretty late as there were a lot of cars there. Everything was finished at 11pm when I drove back to Penang rclxub.gif

Hey Titarium or Rikeys, any plan to add KL Auto contact in the main page? Looks like a worthwhile visit for some folks here...

any members here settled seat "yik" sound issue? Mine is getting serious. Really feel headache here
*
I got that sound on the second day I got the car sad.gif ....imagine being "high" and then suddenly hear this. SERIOUSLY REDUCED MY CARGASM!!!

...Anyway, good to know that someone is sharing my pain tongue.gif

Mine was a cushion noise from around my back that kept giving squeaking sounds whenever I moved. I sent it over to Naza SC (Juru Penang) twice but they weren't able to solve it. Finally the boss told me they would replace the whole seat. I'm waiting for it to come.

Or...you could just spend 2k and change to leather seats biggrin.gif

i oso have "zee zee" sound from driver side .. ><"" not sure is from da seat or door or speaker... icon_question.gif
not yik yik..
*
For "zee zee" sound it sounds like vibrating aluminium foil or paper? I got that sound from the left side door. I also have a "tuk tuk" sound on my driver panels. It made me pretty uneasy for some time...but I've given up on both of them after I heard the same type of sounds from Honda Civic and Peugeot tongue.gif. Bring you complaint to the service center. I think you can just go to the service dealer at Sg. Pinang...the boss Steven looks very dedicated in his job. The workers at Juru didn't really solved mine, but if you need to claim replacements Juru should be faster due to them being "branch".

first yik yik..now zee zee pulak...??
Lucky mine no abnormal sound so far.
I'm gonna do tinting by next week, hopefully no special sound effect coming out after the tinting job. shakehead.gif
*
You'll have the watch those tint people really closely. My "zee zee" and "tuk tuk" sounds came a few days after tinting, but I can't pinpoint if it's due to tinting or defect.

lucky my forte dun have special sound effect......

Add "tik tik" and "click click" sound to the list tongue.gif

That sound is from the dashboard. Seems like coming from all four air-cond vents as the plastics touch. As mentioned, I given up on them and will just crank up my songs...

ggeatweb,
So, you finally SPed your car. What did you do? Package? Worth it? Can test your car or not? tongue.gif
*
Hmm...I'll need to wait a few days to see the "full effect". I think some of the tyre noise is still there (but has been reduced a lot), looks like changing rim/tyre is the best way to totally eliminate it.

I can say I kena "sweet talk" by Desmond until I spent a huge amount of money sweat.gif. But I have some ideas on which package would be most "cost effective". Sure you can test the sound, just pm me and tell me if you wanna meet.

QUOTE(christ_liew @ Apr 11 2010, 11:56 PM)
meaning really cannot be solved? =="
*
Either way, you still need to bring to service center la. They might be able to tweak something. But if these kinds of sound come out I suspect is a manufacturing defect. Send it quick so that they can diagnose quickly and place the order for new seat quickly (if need replacing), just need to be patient and wait until the new seat comes.

Update: I got another sound, humming sound from the engine. Server dealer said it's due to power steering pump. Need to replace that sad.gif. Adding the "rust bubbling" on the door paint, I've made 3x warranty claims so far sweat.gif

My FC, using RON95:

Highway: About 6.5L/100km (11.7 sen/km)
Normal driving (Penang): About 10L/100km ( 18 sen/km)
Max: About 12L/100km (21.6 sen/km)

wow, 21.6 cents/km is blardy expensive.. that's REV always?
*
Haha...that was a combination of rev, petrol type, and mineral oil. Also, during first 1-2k the FC seems to change due to the engine being new. The FC indicator is a good thing to check frequently so that I can control the right foot better tongue.gif

I think ~14-16sen/km is the "standard" number that most people should be getting.

Anyway, that's a good number for a car that weighs around 1250kg with 1.6 engine. Last time my 1.3 Iswara gave me around 17sen/km too (it was much lighter).

Anyway, I already saw 2-3 Forte at my company. Quite a lot seen in Greenlane and QB parking lot too.

Until now, still no SC can fix our Forte's alignment problem right? except the JB SC that solved this problem by installing the tyres 'inside out'. Is it the proven method to fix the alignment problem? i'm quite sceptical about it...
*
The car was still pulling left after 2x do alignment. The funny thing was my alignment suddenly felt a lot better after doing the Autofoam "Track"...don't understand why though hmm.gif

Hi Forte folks,
Need some expetise input and advice...
Today, I have drive my Forte for about 250km fom penang,Seberang prai, sungai petani and all over alor star, and today I succesfully reached 1000km and plan to go service in this few days.My concern is, during running and stop after long run,I can feel the hot temperature around my left calves(betis) which is i lean at the gear console.Once I touch with hand, the hot surface also can be feel around this gear console surface.I also place a bundle of my key inside the water slot(we have 2 bottle slot) and I can feel that my key also very hot...
Is it normal for Forte or this is some abnormalitis on my whitey???...pls help.
*
I noticed that too. Then later I took a look at the bottom of the body and found that's actually where the exhaust pipe runs through sweat.gif ....maybe you can find a way to insulate the heat? smile.gif

then i open my air cond, the air from air cond feel soooo hot.. cry.gif
i cannot open d window bcoz juz do the tinted yesterday..
car registered yesterday..

this thing happen about 20 minutes,  sweat.gif
imagine man..., at 1pm in the shiny day,
i drove my car like in oven wiz hot air blowing, rclxub.gif
somemmore feel like sauna.. huhh sweat.gif
then after 20 minutes barulah feel cool....

it is normal??? 4 me its not normal,
but i hope this is 1st n last it happen...
*
Took me around 5mins to cool the car down before I did tinting...so your case is a little not normal. Maybe it's your A/C or your tint (btw, what tint is it ar)?

But I also noticed that sometimes the if the blower is set too high the air doesn't really feel cool (if windows are not open), so I sometimes choose lower blower speed but cooler settings for compressor (lower temperature) for the cool air to be felt.

Noise update:

All four air-cond vents after a day in the sun keep having this "click click" and "tick tak" sound when I drive. It seems like my batch (or just my car!) has some loose plastic at the contact points and all around the plastic vents, and it seems like after expanding under the heat will dislocate and rattle rclxub.gif. Every time the car moves it seems like playing orchestra from each 5 locations (+middle dashboard as well), "click click click, tac tac, click tac, click".... rclxub.gif.

I don't know who I offended to be given a car with 3x warranty claims so far and noise everywhere.... tongue.gif. Another thing is that it may be hard to reproduce in the morning (when I send it to service center) shakehead.gif

So to folks who can't tahan noise, let me be your "suei" comparison so you will feel good biggrin.gif

i always heard ppl say, don't be afraid to ask question no matter how silly the question is... smile.gif sometime we are so excited, skipped some part of the manual 1st n go straight to practical rather than theory.... want to feel cargasm immediately hehe... chill bro....  tongue.gif
I agree! biggrin.gif All questions are welcome. Actually yours (Miet) is a 'fresh' question.

I've seen many repeated questions (mostly from new ppl) like "loan", "go which SC", and the famous "CKD or CBU???????????!!!!". Someone should make a FAQ (in addition to the great info Titarium and KFC provided).

Anyway, the "Trip" button is the same thing as the "black stick" that comes out from the dashboard for you to reset the "trip meter" (that's why it's called Trip, as in "holiday trip"). It's just that this one is more advanced rclxms.gif

how come 1st service at sg pinang (dealer) more cheaper den autocity (branch) one.. doh.gif

sg pinang one charge RM205.00 for petronas full syn package, auto city one RM231+ doh.gif
*
Really? Then I won't wanna go branch anymore.

I personally found that the service in Sg. Pinang is much better. Steven (I think the boss) was pretty kind and helpful. I think the people at the branch act more like "employees" so they might not have as much concern for you compared to the dealer where it's owned by someone who needs to keep their reputation. But also heard that normally branch will be faster for warranty claims.

The only problem is they're so popular that it's so full most of the time sweat.gif

I went to see the uncle at the service dealer and he took a ride on my car. He commented that it felt 'underpowered' (maybe coz not downshifting)...

...and then he said: "let me do something...."

When I got my car back, it was incredibly responsive, and downshifted every time I needed it. I didn't get any lag at all when going up hill around 60km/h (normally I would have a hard time accelerating...both the alternator booster and spark earth gave only a slight improvement in that area). I don't know what he did, but the fuel consumption did sort of increase...

...not sure if what he done would have voided any warranty or if Naza allowed it so won't say which place (but I think PG forumers will know brows.gif ). What I know is that the "power" feeling was damn syoik (1.6SX)
