dont u guys think our car FC calculation is a bit inaccurate sometimes..yesterday i brought my son ronda2 around kampung..drove very slow one..i just let the car move without pedalling minyak..u can imagine la how slow..but the FC surprised me..10l/100km..but when cruising along hi-way..the FC gradually decrease. how they actually calculate our FC? anybody know?
*
the reading only accurate if you let the petrol finish.

fill full tank --> drive until empty

its real time reading ler.

is it adviseable to reset the FC reading from time to time? i did that when the FC ridiculuosly high..after reset it shows a better FC..logik sikit
*
no. once fill up petrol it'll automatically reset the reading.

fill up full tank --> let it be until empty tank.
don't forget to jot down your mileage count. usually just use trip A or trip B.
reset them after you fill full tank.

on next fill up. take note your trip A/B reading. manually calculate KM/L
that will be more accurate reading.

then only you know how many KM could you expect from actual full tank.
its normal when the reading is ridiculously high, especially if only 1/8 fuel bar travelling usage (assume that you fill up full tank)

This is super unrelated.. my 6yr old wira 1.5SE full tank approximately rm 66. My driving is so uncle (means seldom pecut / or sudden accelerate) Stay in Subang Jaya and work at Aman Suria, drop wife at Sunway Pyramid. Total distance around 25km(single journey) mon to fri. I can reach until 350km only.  cry.gif
*
1) cold engine start u let idle for how long?
2) frequent engine idle when waiting for your wife or not? and for how long in average?
3) Daily traffic jam?
4) have you complete first 1K KM service?

No lar, I dont think it's the car prolem cos I have managed to clock 8-9l on my outstation trip.
*
100% highway driving constantly at 110KM/H at 3K RPM, i manage to clock 6.7L/100KM which translate to 650KM (minimum) or 700KM (maximum).

50% highway 50% city i constantly clock at 8.5L/100KM (between 500KM and 550KM)

me 1.6

350km? 2.0? manual calculation or from the LCD info? i always made my own calculation manually then compare to the LCD info..not much diff. though.but the LCD tends to gave higher FC..(for the record..i always reset the FC meter from time to time)..
bro taipan..u meant that our FC meter only count the FC on the current speed? not the entire kilometers after refuel? then my FC shud be lower during when i drove at kampung slowly..correct me if im wrong..quite confuse
*
it only calculate your fuel consumption (in L) with distance travelled (in KM) so far.
after that if more highway drive, the FC will drop.
if more city drive, it still slowly drop but at slower pace.

the most fuel efficient time is when an average car is cruising on a dry road at about 60km/h..........below that speed, the fc per 100km goes up..........and faster that that, greater wind resistance kicks in, and the fc also goes up...........

the car's av fc reading is an average of your recent driving style and condition.........
*
thats the better explanation. in BOLD

how about this..this is my daily travel..

from home, went to send my son to babysitter in the morning and then straight to office, distance from  my house to babysitter's house to office is about 5 km in total.speed around 70-80km/hour

at evening also same..from office went to fetch my son and then went home..total distance and average speed is about the same as above..

FC shows 9l/100km.is it normal?.no jam, no idling, only driving miss daisy style.
*
1) cold engine start u let idle for how long?
2) have you complete first 1K KM service?

FC is subjective depends on location, traffic lights, start-stop condition.
is the 9L/100Km is from u start pour full tank until empty or you've reset the reading?
hmmmm..

the best way to calculate is still manual. get the KM/L reading and from there can convert to L/100KM reading then compare with ODO reading

Smart key is one of the Interesting topic to talk about,
Just wondering how tough our smat key is? I have dropped my smart key for few times but luckily it wuz OK and look like really tough eventhough after a hard drop on the hard surface. For sure fell "hurt" and sakit hati once drop but what to do...Accidently maaa...the  concern is, is it our key really tough/tahan lasak?

Also the important thing is, How much it will be cost us if this key malfunction/faulty and need to be replace???...

don't undestand. then every car with alarm remote also consider as keyless entry? u can enter the car without using ur key wat? brows.gif  brows.gif
*
thats correct. keyless and push start button is two different thing. don't confuse.

EX = keyless + normal ignition
SX = keyless + push start button
