Wow guys, still with CFW? LOL. Anything new on 5800 beside that?

V50 CFW to keep me occupied since this morning. Love the new firmware, almost prefect but still need a bit of tailoring to suit my need. The new music player is very nice

*ALERT*

When cooking v50 CFW, make sure dont blindly overwrite those modded .TXT file under private/10202be9/ folder.

Previously those files can just overwrite the original but in V50, some of the files content had been modified. So edit those original V50 files accordingly instead of overwrite.

This mistake make me waste few hours figuring out what's wrong with my CFW as my media player suddenly failed to run.

Regarding the media player not working, reread my previous post. Edit the TXT files instead of overwriting it with previous files.


And remember to delete mail_for_exchange sis file from ROFS2 if u hit the file limit. Deleting that file save u nearly 1.5mb iirc.


Currently cruising with V50 modded+hacked CFW. Really love it. Salute to Nokia for keep updating the 5800XM firmware!

Have u tested whether your music player running or not?

Already set Warning Tone to OFF?

Actually the firmware download issue might be due to Nokia server.

Previously when was downloading V50 via Navifirm, it keep failing when downloading ROFS2 file. Might be due to this download error, the NUS keep trying to download that files causing the total file size counter increased till 600MB+. Actual firmware size only around 153MB.

Luckily i hold my 5800 long enough. Can see myself holding N8 in next few month.
