Mem Card corruption bugs still there, after Hard Reset and full format I've already come accross >300 files corrupted and gone to no where in the file system, discover back those lost files with scan disk and confirmed the v50 still facing this same old mem corrupt issues sad.gif
A few friends of mine also found this bugs is very annoy as out of no where some files will keep missing from the mem card time to time... the only solution so far is do not use the mass storage method to access the phone...
One more thing is that although the files is missing but the space will not be release back from the mem card, so when u see some files is missing from the mem card the remaining free space will remain same as the files is still there, this is really a nasty bugs which hopefully pending fix for any coming future firmware release...

Do you has ROM Patcher and the proper files for the HSes? D:
*
the latest Orange HS no need hack phone to be enable, so i dont think this have anything to do with patches...
the HS will install fine but it wont be activated during HS Theme change, and if anyone who have Orange HS install and working during v40 then update to v50 without any hard reset then the HS will keep on working until u do a HS Theme change then it will render it to unusable... nod.gif

hahaha... nope that wont do the trick... as i have a full clone on the mem card content, anytime i feel like to refresh the phone it will take me approx 1 hour to make things done tongue.gif

Sana ada beca,
I just dunno what the heck the Nokia team is doing, some issues solved new issues coming, like never ending story.
I'm using v40, I find that the phone memory become less and the click on internet link is very sluggish in respond/ no response at all.
Now v50 with so many problems again.
What a shit!!!!
*
if memory is ur most concern then u better go for v50 as already have ppl mention on the new memory auto recovery and no more "out of memory" issue on the v50. nod.gif

Added on April 22, 2010, 1:49 amv40 > v50 is a must, because it resolve 3 major issues:

1. charging bug
2. out of memory bug
3. full ks for all apps

flaws so far:

1. the apps menu ks lag
2. the menu ts sensitivity (sometimes when u press on "Apps" icon it wont response)
3. old bug regarding mem card corruption

wow, seem like there's specify way to restore those fragile mem card content...

the previous corruption on the mem card after restoration seem like have to do with the backup contents... i've deleted all those previous backup image thumnails, all work smoothly now, the v50 seem very responsive on the touch input now. The browser do improve alots also the music player a nice retouch...

some hint regarding those image/music galery update, a simple make the folder as hidden in it's attribute will make that folder excluded from those media library update...

that's the reason i'm not doing the cfw on the v40, no point to messing here and there since the firmware updated frequently... keep it simple is the rules of thumb nod.gif

using the contact HS now since the Orange HS unusable... have to choose darker wallpaper to match those stripe sweat.gif

will it need to flash it or just install in sis?

This my personal experience

Software availability

5800 XM - Alot of gps software to choose from
N97 - Alot of gps software to choose from
N900- For now limited software to choose from only Ovi maps but without navigation and sygic ( havent have map for malaysia)

Yes satio is anytime better than nokia 5800XM because its using the same processor and GPU as Nokia N900 except OS still same with 5800XM.
To me doesnt make much different because both also dont work in my car with V-cool.

Now garmin focusing more on phone + gps already

I've been read through the Samsung Omnia HD and the gps chip inside a far more better then nokia, but come to firmware and software wise it make me turn away... sweat.gif

and connect it to the car radio antenna, do you guys think it can improve the signal?
*
it won't work, as the gps rf signal spectrum is much more highier then your normal radios receiver antenna... doh.gif

Those who want good gps, should just buy a Garmin Nuvi. I used ovi and it was my 1st time and last time. Can't even guide me from a place to another using proper route.

Garmin will be left out of the scene if they're not updating their old sirf iii gps chip to the latest sirf iv whistling.gif
ppl now talking on indoor gps tracking where the snr is the major issue as well as power saving where all gadget will be location aware anytime anywhere... nod.gif
