To be honest with u i have all 3 phones Nokia 5800 XM, N97 and N900. This a gps review by me

In my car i have V-cool.




5800 - Very bad signal need open window to get signal and even get lock the gps very inaccurate
N97 - Very bad signal need open window to get signal and even get lock the gps very inaccurate
N900 - OMFG without lowering down my windows i get GOOD SIGNAL, ACCURATE LOCK AND TRACK thru V-cool i was totally impress

This my personal experience

Software availability

5800 XM - Alot of gps software to choose from
N97 - Alot of gps software to choose from
N900- For now limited software to choose from only Ovi maps but without navigation and sygic ( havent have map for malaysia)

U imagine how annoy i was. I have a gps phone that doesnt work in my car.

I tried my N97 and 5800XM on my other car got minimum tinted also same it delay 2 to 3 sec. After turn into turning only say please turn right i was like HUH?
Den i did some research on how to solve this problem and i found a solution by installing a special device inside the car and mount a special antenna outside the car to boost the signal. It will cost me RM300.

At first i was like crap i bet N900 is sure like tat too. Den i didnt know why i tried i was shock it was so accurate without a-gps. Den i was like is this for real den i turn off all my WIFI and 3G and yes it still accurate.

Nokia N900 its more like a tablet + phone when other nokia phones are smartphone

Some ppl in linux find a way to make some software to read garmin map but havent seen anyone use it on Nokia N900 yet.

Ovi maps have map of malaysia. U can view but u cant navigate turn by turn only. Let repeat N900 main purpose is not for GPS. if gps suggest u get ASUS

NOkia n900 is design for internet browsing. Since i use my Nokia n900 browser it makes Opera mini, opera mobile , internal web browser become boring.

I reply this using nokia N900 now it loads website properly u can view properly even load flash within website. Like above the advertistment its moving in my nokia n900.

Yes satio is anytime better than nokia 5800XM because its using the same processor and GPU as Nokia N900 except OS still same with 5800XM.
To me doesnt make much different because both also dont work in my car with V-cool.

Now garmin focusing more on phone + gps already

Now N900 works in V-cool i no need buy that watever RM300 thing already

Nah still very happy with Nokia N900.

Walau N8 been spreading over n over . Btw N8 its not official yet

means its connected to internet via 3G at HSPDA Speed and a software its trying connect maybe your nokia messaing u installed

the curious part is not how good the flash is but how high the camera ISO can go.

I feel like v50 should be the final firmware for Nokia 5800XM. Most bugs are already resolve

1. Turn on autoupdate

2. Yes u can get the USB convert to 1.5mm charger but it only charge no data transfer

change usb port. Sometimes the port u are using not enough power u will get an error like that. If u get that MTP error even if fails u can still use

from what i understand MTP have something to do with windows media player. It will sync your phone with the media player.

Can u retry again but tis time without your memory card inserted inside

because at home i am using Windows 7 Windows media player 11 i also get that error but i just ignore it.

At my hometown i am using Windows 7 Windows media player 10 but i dont get such error. If u dont get any error u notice all your songs in your Nokia 5800XM will be listed in its media library

if original set better send to nokia centre because it shouldnt be so loose. Even my nokia 5800XM do not have such issue

yes thats only 1 thing i not really like about Nokia warranty. After 1 year they will charge u RM25 just to check.
