Moving past the petty squabbles we're seeing here, I've read July 18th as the possible date for AUS launch. But looking at the calendar, it's a Sunday, and historically, no iPhone launch has ever been on a Sunday.

I've requested and blocked my roster for next month on the last three Friday-Sunday days, namely 15-17th/22-24th/29-31st for the estimated AUS launch. If I can, I'll even line up.

I'll post another post after this, just got an MMS from my bro in Maxis, screenshot of the FAQ for frontliners in Maxis for their iPhone 4 plans.

EDIt: Meh. Not much of infos on the screenshot FAQ, only tangible info is that Maxis will be launching in "Quarter 3, 2010", which is codename for September.

Fumjusta, where are you bro? Care to shed some light into this? Your senior just sent me the FAQ screenies. tongue.gif

you're part of the "Unlucky" 15. What's your take on the iPhone 4? Want one? Priority first to the folks who stayed and believed in me last time. smile.gif
Not until Apple releases more information on how the international rollout will be. What's better this time is the waiting period is more stomachable/managable than the last iPhone launch. Plus there's always Singapore and/or Hong Kong, on the same release date, no less. smile.gif

Sigh really not sure...u guys go ahead la :--( If only DiGi launches micro sim then I might be getting it in advanced but i think by the time micro sim ada, it will be the time Digi launches iPhone 4 also.

I know, I'm not gonna picky if they ran out of black ones. I had a white 3G last time, and I loved it to bits. biggrin.gif

As for protection, I'm not sure if I want to cover it in any case right now. After looking at Steve's explanation of the stainless steel band around the side of the iPhone acting like huge antennas, covering it with a case ,even Apple's Bumper case may negate some of the advantage of having that unique antennae construction. I may change my mind later if I get to see it firsthand and judge its fragility.

Been using both white 3G and white 3GS..I always feel that Apple products look nicer in white. However for this time around, I would go for black iPhone 4..reason being the screen is kinda "stand out" from a white front..looks weird. So..let's see what accessories me gonna get to spice up the black iPhone 4...haha..talking like already got my phone tongue.gif

I noticed that when I compose a new SMS, the address field no longer lookup the name as I type in iOS 4.

Are you guys getting the same behaviour?

Ah..it is working now. I knew why. I was on Edge and connection was slow, so the lookup is contacting my corporate email server as well for address lookup. Now back to Wifi and lookup is instant. Case closed smile.gif

You are not alone http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?t...9356&tstart=345

I personally experienced this while helping my colleague to upgrade her 3G to iOS4. Backup ran for almost an hour and not even 5%....grrrr! So I gave up and cancel the upgrade sad.gif
