!!! since we got our 3GS, as i think the 3GS is enough for us to play entertainment ,games and business ,etc .... how we can change the 3GS -> 4G? of coz ,we can buy it after july at local ...but i estimate the price can be higher than 3GS a lot ...

Do we really need 2.5k - 3k for a phone again ?! or saving it for ur property ...Luckily, Apple allow 3G,3GS users allow to upgrade new features...

apple 4G promote video that one thing make us interested their iphone ..a video with cool background music , Top management guys represent their iphone features , the progress of making the iphone ... A cool video make the success of 4G already..all guys are crazy now.

2K - 3K is a big sum of money especially if you are a student or just came out to work. I always advise my junior friends to buy such stuff only if they can afford it - don't buy just to join the crowd. I know few chaps who buy using credit card but they "forgot" unless they pay it fully when bill come, they will end up in debts.

It is better to save money for rainy day - since you mention you have a saving plan, of course save the money for the house. Buy only if you feel you will die without it.

By the way Steve Jobs always highlight only positive issues. Regards the video conference and FaceTime - you can ONLY do it iPhone 4 to iPhone 4 ; other video enabled phones cannot connect with it. And for time being , he say 2010 can connect using WiFi only as 3G not supported. I guess maybe in 2011 with a software update and telco issue settled, one can have it connected thro 3G

There are always buyers ( where money is not an issue ) who want to be the early birds. Just like the iPADS initial pricing at this forum , every unit was sold off within a day or two even though price was 50% - 70 % more than it will be when officially available here

Yes I do agree with you that the current micro sim jz meant for data because thats what they are currently offering now. If there are lots of demand for it (like iPad did, thats why maxis brought in micro sim), then they will cater for it. Thats money for them. What's the difference between the micro sim for iPad and the micro sim in iPhone 4, besides its currently for data? Right now, with the normal sim you can switch phone only, phone + data or data only without changing sim card. Now it's the matter whether maxis allows it or not.

Right now we can only speculate as the phone itself is not launch yet.

Added on June 13, 2010, 10:07 pmjust want to add, if maxis did allow for phone on the micro sim right now, where do we want to use it? I think there's no phone right now in malaysia that using the micro sim right?

This is strange : I went to maxis last week; wanted to buy the micro sim for the iPAD but I need to subscribe to a minimum 6 months data plan: cheapest was RM 30 ( for voice calls ) + RM 50 ( for 500 MB/mth ), ie total RM80/month -; I didn't take it as I will not be using voice calls . So if the card cannot be used for voice call why is Maxis charging RM30 for it ?? The officer in charge told me this is Maxis policy must pay the RM30 for voice call whether I use it or not.

The important area is the centre portion with the 2 parallel lines. I have cut up 2 sim card to test - both Digi and Celcom. To fit the slot I have to cut off slightly the top and bottom parts of the electronic area - works well does not affect the detection of the card. Is very easy to cut just use sharp scissors . Get a piece of paper put inside the micro slot card and pressed down the edges to get the size. Cut the paper down to size following the pressed marks. Put the cut paper on top of the sim card and use a pen or pencil to mark the cut points

Lol? RM100 for a sim card? I rather cut myself. Replacement sim card how much only? tongue.gif

That is exactly what I did - cut my hotlink card to fit my iPAD ; works perfectly well. Thought of getting a new line but the lowest cost was RM30 ( voice ) + RM 58 ( 500 MB data ) - didn't take up as I will not be using the voice call feature

Hey can i just switch my sim card now for a micro sim and stick with the plan im taking now without any additional data plans, etc. Mine is a supplementary under my dad.

Don't think so - Maxis wants you to create a new account to generate new business. If you have a card already, just get a sharp scissors and cut it down to size yourself - I took only less than 5 minutes
