CNN made a list of 8 very rare and expensive games. Would you pay for them? What's the "holy grail" in your collection?

im not really a hardcore collector myself, i tend to have, "oh well, i miss it and i hope miracle comes again (in cheaper price or same price)"

since im a student with a low income for myself, i got to say im cant get myself into this as i need to support myself as well

so far.... well... not really that much,
some ps1 games, ps2, gamecube, some nes games, etc. but probly it still can be found online

Hmmm... i won't spend much on game... unless they come out a crazy deal like HALO helmet... , but MW2 prestige pack turn me off..
given max my budget of a game should be around 300-400.

My holy grail game , should be on PC....either Ultima 1-9 or Fallout series(hope they will remake it,but the hope is slim, bethedast have the license now)..


my holy grail is my NES console with mario , midway and some 2d shooter...

The most expensive game I bought was RM251 Biohazard GC (J), and it was used.

I don't think I will spend more than that for a retro game.

So what is Gundam's holy grail?

Mine currently is Dodonpachi PCB, although I paid significantly less than what the market commands

i rather save then buy expensive games . its a waste unless the game is a must or nobody got it anymore

MAx budget is RM350.. That as far as I can go... Anything more than that then sorry la my fren... Duit ni tak datang senang.. So.. yea.. Its crazy to buy somthing that expensive anyway.. Rather use the money go travel and makan..And duno go how many places liao lo with that amount.. Do charity oso better la.. XD
The lesson in the news is.. Better keep your console even they spoil.. Whn one day price go up.. Repair it and sell t high high price.. lol

my limit is always on the 200-220. More than that, i won't buy it. I'm not a collector of CE, LE or things like that...coz for me things like that are worth it in its unopened n sealed form, n since i can't afford to buy things i will not use...so might as well skip it and go with the normal edition

Nowadays in eBay cost around USD300++....

Marvel vs. Capcom for PS2 cost me USD100 (RM350, must watch currency exchange at Bank Negara whenever I shop on eBay....) in 2008.

Of course, Dungeons & Dragons Collection for the Sega Saturn cost a lot (USD90 for me)when I won it on eBay.

Also, you might consider my Hyakushiki PS2 (shown here http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f...ost&p=27392107) as an expensive 'investment'. I have yet to see a complete (new/used) up for sale on eBay going for less than USD200, whcih was the price I paid for it back in 2006.

The Silver Gundam PSP is also another one, cost me RM1000 from a Mid Valley MegaMall shop.

Someone was trying to sell an earlier Gundam PSP (Neo Zeon Red) also at RM1000++....

P.S. Broke my self-imposed credit card limit when I started seriously buying up my 'holy grails'. Took 3 months of no online shopping to finish off all my outstanding balance so that I don't waste on high interest fees.....

My holy grail is DJ Max Portable 2 Metallic Silver Edition. Cost me RM600 including shipment from PlayAsia. Huhuhuhu......
