I never buy Levi's... Because I prefer Camel... lol! This is how most companies in Malaysia make money... Its actually due to Malaysian politics... Even this GST the gov wanna implement is the same thing... When come to consumer side, it would be double the impact...

QUOTE(BlueWind @ Apr 5 2010, 10:45 PM) Double the impact, double the standard Double the impact, but it only doubles the standard for the rich or the corporate guys... Malaysia cannot afford GST at the moment because we are still not a high-income country... We still stuck at middle... Probably low-medium income...

Well, i don't support GST, i want to say that GST or VAT is not just in high income countries. Lower income and middle income countries also have GST or VAT.

Yes... True... But it is not suitable for lower and middle income countries unless the economic disparity is lower... I support the idea, provided that it is only when the country is a high income country and when the economic disparity is lower... Anyway... That's my opinion... lol!

In theory, introducing GST will make the government have better revenue, not relying on small percentage of income tax payers.

Provided that the general public is able to afford the average cost of living... Which we can't... Malaysia is not ready yet... Poor are still extremely poor, rich are extremely rich... middle class people are pretty much limited in this country...

QUOTE(Kampung2005 @ Apr 5 2010, 11:05 PM) Corruption and subsidies should be reduced. Yeap... Billions of ringgit has left the country without being detected... Foreign investments are falling, except in certain industries which have been slow or stagnant... More projects must be awarded to non-GLCs... and projects should be awarded via open-tender... Most important of all, goverment must release control of several corporations which should have learned to be independent or should be free from government intervention... Like Jaring.. I don't understand why Ministry of Finance has to buy it... Added on April 5, 2010, 11:13 pmQUOTE(JeromeDubois @ Apr 5 2010, 11:08 PM) what's up fellas, checking in spam territory...
