2 things i wanna ask..

1.i looked over the gigabyte website and i found a note that it said minimum power supply
of 400W.
ok... i have a power supply of 500W peak power and 250W real/pure power..
Is it possible for my PSU to supply enough power to it?

2.the price is around rm275. does this have good performance based on its price?
or are there any vga which is better than this within the same price range?

looks like you have a cap ayam psu, that is always not recommended.
at least get a branded psu like cooler master, or even good brand like silverstone, corsair.

about the wattage needed, you can use psu calculator here: http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp
should give you an idea.. icon_rolleyes.gif

IMO your psu can power the gt 220 OC, but will be very stressed, and not recomended if it's old. if you have budget for new psu, get it. cheapo FSP 400w, or maybe CM extreme 460w.

i was happy that i bought XFX HD5670 1GB
with low power consumption.. rclxms.gif

Then, there is another argument. The PhysX effects from nv.
i tried to find whether its worth mentioning or not.
i will never find the right answer.... rclxub.gif

btw.... i saw someone selling a 350W true power which is at least better than using 250w..
(for temporary until enough money to buy higher power supply)

MEC(IBOX) 20+4Pin 350watt true power PSU with PFC(Power Factor Correction)
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...IBOX%29+20+4Pin

rm30 only with 2 weeks P.W
is this risky?

I suggest you go for 450-500W power supply that is able to deliver that they advertised. FSP, Xigmatek and Silverstone power supplies are all true power. As for the VGA card, it is good for less than 18" monitors.

Nono to Huntkey. This is another cap ayam PSU that fails.

18A on the +12V rail. That is 216W on it. On top of that, never heard of this brand. I think I'll put my bets on FSP 400W at RM140 from Viewnet instead.

Nopes... That is a cap ayam PSU, and from the description... very much sounds like a PowerLogic one. I would recommend PSUs such as FSP Saga 450W (true wattage, around RM165 from Compuzone). tongue.gif

For around that price, can get the faster Leadtek Winfast 9600GT 512MB GDDR3 (for around RM260 or higher). flex.gif

Looks very much like cap ayam PSU to me, and be seems to be taken out from casings. Not that recommended for powerful graphics card.. hmm.gif
