I have a suggestion... maybe all this studio thing is inefficient and a waste of time...

Perhaps, the group can make their own private studios? gasp. but how??!

Solution: Look into Jamhub Tourbus
user posted image

Basically this little device serves as a private studio by connecting all outputs, inputs, and etc of instruments into one "mixer" for everyone to hear silently through headphones. O yah, mic for vocals work too! I can't explain it all... rclxub.gif

You can plug with an ipod and play music + follow along, record to computer, etc... rly cool! does a huge lot for a small thing.

Can probably jam at home as a group with it quitely but... the only problem may be the lack of e-drums... (oh the dam expensive drums!) If only you guys had e-drums with it, it'd be perfect for you guys to practice without the cons pouring out of trash studios.

You guys can look into more here.

I just want to share the kind of songs that really gives me the grooves If I have the chance to play them with you guys. Sorted from powerhouse to soft and catchy.

these are whole new songs list which I think suited for my taste and also everyone else. If you guys really fathom the melody of songs, you will notice how beautiful these songs are.

1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bTqM1Brm7FE Blood Plus Opening 1 (full) - by Hitomi Takahashi

2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNHu05Wq8T0 Shangri-La Opening Full - by May'n

3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tksmFXnPcx0&hd=1 Gundum Seed Anna ni Isshodattanoni - by See-Saw -

4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8kSX4kvQLw S.S.D! - [Princess Lover ED] - Full by Yozuca

5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8iFzOPmdt2E minami-ke okaeri ed zettai colourful sengen

at the moment I'm not gonna add all of them into the playing list except blood plus due to the popularity of that song, it has the grasp of magnitude to cheer all the crowds. Well thats all about it..

@Moboroshi : We need to practice with amps though and acoustic drum sad.gif

Practice with amps and acoustic drum you say?

I hope that there's a good reason to do that because there's no difference at all when you're playing with the same instruments and getting the same experience of learning. It's stupid to keep practicing in those trashy studios when you have to keep paying with precious cash for sounds that don't even suit the ears of the people who are playing the music in there.

Does the group really intend to externally record that way? What's the point of doing that if they're going to make an album? Not only will it cost more for the quality mics, but the the sound + mixing will be trash too.

Just as all musicians invest to buy a certain gear they want, mine is also a suggestion for you all to invest in it as well if interested..

Last friday nite we have conducted practice session participated by me, joon haw, ZC and Chiaki. Got some improvement such as how hard Chiaki hit the drum and Joon Haw oso already catch up on the bass tab. Next practice session will be inform later.

Meanwhile all the drum recordings that were made earlier had to be rejected accordin' to Myc. Dunno when we could arrange for another drum recordin coz the plan for it should goes along this week.

THIS

even with the best facality/quality of recording rejected, getting like those expensive multitrack recording gigs is definitely NOT an option

back to basic with instruments

The drummer himself actually agrees on that. Infact Butterfingers themselves recorded their 1st EP using just a tape recorder tongue.gif.

It's now decisive that the recording session starts within this week on Thursday and Friday from 9-12pm.. According to the schedule, this session should be done last week but since most people were taking holiday prolongation during the public holiday, the session has to be postpone to this week..Although we still have our contingency plan thus It should be okey to keep on the project scheme going..Though, I was thinking having day break after recording >_>..I'm not sure about this but within this week I have a lot of stuff to do which is tiring.

So I should take yukkuri advice once in awhile to shit teitene~ a bit..

ps: ne1 wanna visit at the recording studio you're all welcome if you wanna see how the recording is done...preferred day is Friday night. Location -> http://www.artrax.com.my/contact.htm

Don't say THIS when you don't know what you're talking about! mad.gif

I don't know how much money this "fancy" and expensive studio is charging you or what special equipment they have but all the drum recordings I heard sounded terrible. I see every reason why Myclamyra had to reject those recordings. If you still think the acoustic drum sound quality is better than what an e-drum can offer, bring it on my good sir.

If you're going to use that kind of quality for drums, I don't know how far or where the album will get you guys...

I understand... e-drums are bloody expensive!! But if you guys don't have one at the moment, I don't see the point in resuming this album project. Maybe the sound quality will be somewhat excusable if you guys made a video again like myclamyra's recent uploads. (no exessive censors next time?) Wouldn't it be best to just practice for practice's sake for the moment?? I'm saying it for the good of the band... its waste of effort. sad.gif

So I heard the drums... can I hear the other instrument recordings please?
