Thx guys for last saturday's jam session. 2 jam session in a row? shocking.gif laugh.gif

Ahem, songs that we manage to play from last jam session.

-Melt
-Bad Apples
-Shine Days (sorry I screwed up the solo part)
-My Songs (short version-solo playing by Mudmaniac laugh.gif )
-No Thank You!
-Ichiban No Takaramono
-My Soul Your Your Beat (most 2nd guitar part is covered by keyboard though)
-ReWrite (quite shock Steno can play the 2nd guitar part, but supposed teh one who sing shud be the 1st guitar)

Oh btw

This is a tv version. I might do a cover for the full version of it(if Steno and Mud have sharingan, can copied his technique though tongue.gif )

Announcement

So far that I heard from the discussion last Saturday, Bad Apples proposed either these 2 choice of day/time per week for jam session.

either

-Wednesday nite after office hour (8pm and above)

or

-Saturday daytime (12pm and above)

(Place is depends on both singers availability)

I dunno which one our guest vocalist prefer or which one Suzann prefer?

QUOTE(Mudmaniac @ Jun 13 2011, 03:27 PM)
lead? rhythm? I just follow what Brian doing on the Bass!
that's why you had to ask me to stop playing certain part. What was I playing actually?
*
Haha. Actually you play teh rythm. Steno was doing teh lead. And I am simplifying my bass playing to help you tongue.gif . Nah most of my bands usually did that if some of us forgot how to play the song.

That 'certain' part? hmm.gif Might be u mentioning bout teh time when we play rewrite.

According to actual Rewrite song, during the verse part the rythm guitar not playing at all while the lead guitar do some 'plucking'. I prefer no guitar at all during the verse part of ReWrite when we jam that nite coz some of the lead part was covered by Noir.

I'm outstation from this Tuesday to Wednesday (14th/6 to 15th/6) sad.gif

But on 15th/6, I'll probably head back to KL after 6pm from Taiping and estimated will reach KL around 9pm.

So to say, I might join or might not join this Wednesday. But if u all manage to get Myc join teh session, I dun't seem there will be no problem for you all to proceed without me. smile.gif

QUOTE(Zaban @ Jun 13 2011, 10:15 PM)
To be frank It's certainly hard to play in the band without you, I mean Mud is still new and still need a monitoring guidance while playing on guitar. Since ur been taking a roll as like captain majorly in guitar part, I don't I think we can jam this Wednesday without you guiding the 2 of the guitarist.

Therefore we shall proceed this Saturday for next jamming session and hopefully next Wednesday for another jamming session.
*
dude, you're making me blushed. Hell I'm no captain. I just stick to my promise with the former band leader to not leave teh band even anything happened. So I just helping the newcomers though since most of them are still fresh.

QUOTE(Dark Steno @ Jun 13 2011, 11:37 PM)
this saturday i cannot so you guys can go without me.
*
I still think you all can proceed this Wednesday without me provided Myc is around , else Saturday then but without u might be no fun sad.gif

BTW pertaining the Rewrite part. Hope this will help Mudmaniac on get rid of his confusion.

-Rewrite guitar cover-

Steno part (please take not that this person has improvised a bit the lead part. So Steno is recommended to just stick to teh tab that he referring to)

Mudmaniac part (Same guitar that Mud used, but I mirrored the vid to help u since u are a leftie)

Edit :

Oh yeah, forgot to mention. Actually teh one who play rythm is supposedly teh one who sing. But I think can give Myc to sing while I played the bass.

QUOTE(suzann @ Jun 18 2011, 12:47 AM)
Hey guys, have fun jamming with you all too!

Thanks mud for compiling the songs that we performed in SMK Tropicana. smile.gif I ran thru the songs already.

Btw, I found out that during the performance, except for the song we always played, we tend to play the song too fast ady sad.gif that sounds sux.

After watching the clips, i think i nid to improve more on my vocal, especially when singing with real voice, have to do more controlling.

Another thing is i found out that each of us try to stand out in the performance, and we forgot that we nid to actually work as a team. In the end it's like rushing the song don't know wanna go where already tongue.gif The sound are not sync. Mud was telling me the recording is off, but i personally think it's because initially, we have already played it off.

I think it is good if we do some simple recording during our practices, and when we revise back, we can see what we did wrong and try to recover from the mistakes. smile.gif

Minna gambateh! biggrin.gif

agree and noted

QUOTE(CDGmaboroshi @ Jun 18 2011, 04:10 AM)
lol please stop playing that keyboard drum.

it's weird throughout.  sweat.gif
*
agree

QUOTE(Zaban @ Jun 18 2011, 11:04 AM)
^ it's the only way to stick the drum pattern arrangement in my head >_>
*
not very recommended.

QUOTE(Mudmaniac @ Jun 19 2011, 11:56 PM)
well. the mp4 video i took is 350mb in size.

and im having trouble because my codex is x64 and there only exists a x32 plugin for virtualdub. So how? change out ffdshow64 for ffdshow 32 bit? sigh....
i hate video editing.
*
me too bro. But to be easy, u can just use Movie maker like Chiaki suggested to make it easier to reduce the size, but also at same time reduce the quality.

edit:

Uh, need some editing on the vid that I recorded previously. Its too dark though.

I rather doing this rather than playing on a drum set that sound like a trash can.I wish I would play on my drumset if I have all zildjian A custom hihat + cymbals and a Ludwig snare drum on Romo ambassador snare head which in the total cost 5 times greater than your guitar. In fact I make my point, I'm doing this to learn drum pattern only. Drum dynamics can be learn later on in a real practice since it only took few minutes adjustment to get the dynamics right.
*
implying that:-

I rather play guitar hero than playing on an electric guitar which sound like ukulele. I wish I could play an ESP Kirk Hammet signature model which the price is a total 10 times of the bolded above.

Wow, for someone who doesn't understand how the drumming learning process work claiming that an alternative tool to create drum pattern is not recommanded to be used? Ever wonder why a composer could create such beutiful music just simply using a music sheet composed into a midi without a real instruments? Which is also the fact that learning drum pattern is equivalent as learning guitar chord of a song. Not all drummer has the same preference when it comes to sound quality, I'm quite impressed of your perception here.
*
I uh....don't wanna argue anymore with you on that. Okay you win.

There are some revision on the chords that I posted for Magnet. The changes are on the verse part. Here are the revised chords

http://www.4shared.com/document/vQffrkFA/B...atsoonie_M.html

(for the power chords version, u can just replace the acoustic chords with the power chords listed at very end)

and here's the vid cover for the above chords.
