Yesterday practice was quite ok.Many weakness were pointed and everybody know what to concerntrates on after the practice session. Sadly we havent touch yet Pure Pure Heart and hopefully next session we already cover that song too.However I would like to apologize for my lateness due to overslept which makes our practice not according to plan(suppose 12pm start but end up 3pm). And I would like to apologize to Steno and Rockguitarist since couldnt able to pick them up as I promised earlier.Hontou ni Gomennasai!!!
Thanks very much to Chiaki and Steno for fetching them instead of me.I promise that next time I wouldnt repeat this mistake again.

After yesterdays discussion, we agree to have short jam session at the jam studio at Taman Permata, Cheras as proposed by Rockguitarist on this Saturday on 25/9/10(starts around 11am or 12pm).Please confirm our availabilty by this Friday for Rockguitarist to book the studio for us. Hopefullly this time we have perfected all the 5 songs and keep posting our improvement via this thread or msn.And hopefully I wont be late to wake up early and be punctual for the band's sake.

I strongly suggest we book for 2 hours. 1 hour for setup, soundcheck and test run. Another 1 hour for full swing. I usually did that when I jammed with my previous bands.1st 1 hour I treat, another 1 hr we share.

at 0.26 and at 3.10, I think rather than playin' like that why not u follow the rhythm's strum like originally in the song.

At 0.55, hmm improvision on that part is ok but it just doesnt flow with the song due to diff. beat or tempo with the drums.Need to adjust.

Well if we not participating its still okay, we still got another plan besides animangaki.

Solo and intro ok, strumming need to repair.But its okay since I also fail at picking and strumming.Solo part I couldn't comment much since Imma not a solo guitarist but all I can say is, nice attempt but need lot of practice.

Thx for booking the Studio for us, later on we share the rent this Saturday. But I tot we mention 2 hours via msn?hmm...nvm la.

BTW nice jam session yesterday.Yeah I bet we do had lots of fun yesterday.Thx to all for coming especially to Myclamyra since he's willingness to join eventhough he have a flight to catch.Not to mention Rockguitarist who recommended the nice studio.

Many things happen yesterday
-Most of us turned up late due to 1st time goes to the studio at Jalan Pertama, cheras.However we manage to do our sound check since the 1st hour is particularly for that purpose.
-I couldn't get the effect functioned since I dunno the setup or the cabling.If only Ultimaweaponx were there..So I just used the gain in the Marshall amp.
-All of the five songs were played successfully except for Pure pure heart since everybody concentrates on the previous 4 songs. Haha Pure pure heart even can stopped in the middle of song and continued back coz everybody forgot how to play the solo part.
-The jam's halted for a while coz suddenly the drum's hi-hat nut went loose and we dun know how to fix it. Luckily our Mr Myclamyra know how to fix it and the show continued smoothly.
-1st time I saw Rockguitarist put some smile face while playing.Usually he had a serious face went he play the guitar.Guess he really does have fun for the jam session yesterday.
-for the last song, Myclamyra gave an opportunity for me to play bass for Meguriai, the position that I previously played during my previous bands, and yeah I put 'something' with the bass part of the song.So hope you all dun mind hehe.
-After jam, Myclamyra straight rushed for his flight meanwhile the rest go 'lepak' at nearest mamak restaurant and discussed about our next target and plans since it seems like we could not have a chance to perform in animangaki.

Really appreciate that all band members willing to came since I expect only me, chiaki and Rockguitarist will attend the jam session.

Well actually I was thinking that its good if we take a break from jam session next week.We concentrates on vids cover until another week, perfecting our skills.

its okay. For me its a good thing as we still need plenty of time to improve the band. There's still alot o things that the band need to learn before going on performance.

That one is a combination of individual cover.If wanna do like that, what song u proposed 1st?

They can continue it. Remember Genshiken? Eventhough the manga and anime already ended, the author keep continue the series with new members. Imma afraid sooner later K-ON will follow the path with Azunyan as the new band leader.

I heard from msn she want to give a try with the original key.According to her, its not the matter of the key, but she's still not familiar with the lyric so it takes time for her to sing it perfectly, as she said. I'm going to try covering pure pure heart and forward the sample to Ultimaweaponx.

Neway I still didn't forget your An Cafe's Snow Scene songs. Nice song u choose which trains my rythm skills alot. At least its not messy like Creeping Death by Metallica.Heck I'm not as fast picking as James Hedfield to begin with.

thx dude.If u are talking about teh way I strum, yeah I follow James Hedfield(Metallica) strumming style until it becomes a habit. But now I know that actually he only do mimicking during the concert and his guitar sound actually came from his "stand in" at the back stage.Damn! Now I cannot change my strumming style coz its already become a habit. Even each time I pick or strum, my big bro always scold me said that I do it wrongly.

Edit : Yessah, the next jam session will be on tomorrow night at 8pm to 10pm at Taman Pertama Music Studio as usual. We're gonna book the big studio and everybody is invited to join us singing. . The song list to jam as below:

Hmm orite. I'm gonna summarize our discussion on last jam session that saturday

-We have decided to do a doujin(cover) CD to sell during the upcoming ComicFest10. Besides the 5 current songs that we practices, we gonna add new songs for the cover cd.Target is 5 current songs, added with 3-4 new songs and at least 2 original songs. But lets concentrates on the 5 current songs and the new songs first.

-The planned schedule is to concentrates on the practices and jamming on the current and new songs starting from today until mid November. During mid November, we're gonna concentrates on audio recording for the cover CD. Hopefully all the recording have finished and completed 1 month before CF10 and that time we just concerntate on editing and mixing to put into a CD.

-The new songs will be freely choose or suggested by the band member. The songs can be either from latest anime, games or any light novel that well known in Malaysia or Japan. Guys please suggest the new song here at this thread( give the u tube link or something) before 23rd October so that we can practice the new songs immediately.

-Since ZC is currently having his school exam, I think we gonna break from jam session until further notice.Rite now I'm giving prioritize to practice with Chiaki alone for improvement and get his drum recording a.s.a.p as per strongly suggested by Myclamyra.

-There is also a suggestion to have a substitute bassist and female vocalist for jam session since Myc and Alice needs to concentrates on other thing first and had to lessen the jam activity for temporary. Current status : Rite now ZC had found the candidate for substitute bassist. Me and ZC will do arrangement to see him.Now for the substitute female vocalist hmmmm .
