Yes Lazare is more expensive due to both the brand and their ideal cut. You could say Lazare built their brand based on the ideal cut.

However, like you said it is possible to find similarly well cut diamonds (I guess GIA 3ex is quite similar) without paying the brand premium for Lazare.

I personally like Forevermark and their signature ring.
But at that time they doesn't have the specific 4c i was looking for.....so i ended up with Wah Chan.
I was looking for F color, and 3EX. But at that time they only have G and 2EX.

Does anyone know if all degem lazare diamond are certified in house instead of GIA?

Is lazare diamond's ideal cut better than those 3ex by GIA in terms of sparkle and fire or they are just about the same?

Any sifu can comment on that?

I just started to look for my engagement ring and I'm looking for a ring within 8-10k.
My priority would be cut > carat > colour > clarity.
I would go for the best cut, colour f to h, clarity vs1 to vs2 and the biggest carat within that budget.
Anyone has come across any stones with similar specs? How big carat that I can get for that budget?
