eeeverybody knows F1 is not shot in HD. question is, do you watch the upscaled fake-HD channel or are you into "truth" and watch it on Star Sports

I'd rather watch it on HD.

Why do i need to pay for something upscaled..

Argue all you want about upscaling but the fact remains that it is a better picture quality then SD & more importantly it is 16:9.

er, F1 on ESPN HD is currently upscaled.

It is the quality that Ch813 should be.
I doubt pic. quality in 813 is way below SD.
If RTM has delayed telecast , we'll be able to see the differences.

You should add another one, NTV7. I prefer NTV7's broadcast because of the commentators. They're waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Steve Slater. If no live telecast thru them, then ESPN HD is the way to go for me. At least it's proper 16:9. But luckily for Malaysian GP, NTV7 provides live telecast.

I agree w/ Justin - ch 832 is proper 16:9 whereas 813 you have to watch pillarboxed

so my question is if the source is SD16:9, where does it get "adjusted" for SD4:3 transmission? At Star Sports?

I'd guess the adjustment is Pan & scan?

the sound is there if you set output to DD5.1. No sound if set to stereo.. anyone having the same problem?

I remember reading somewhere, when SkyHD first started they had to ask Richard Keys to shave because on HD he looked like a gorilla.
