dear all,

i'm lost between n97 mini and e72,

purpose: mostly doing business, meetings, taking pictures of progress works,

wanted: QWERTY key pad, GPS, camera, audio/recordings to record minutes of meeting, wifi (optional), besides tons of calls and messaging!

had tried both phones at the shop but the sales man is pushing for the latest flagship from nokia which i don't want...

need your recommendation, if possible let me know why you will go for one but not the other. thank you.

regards,

I will personally choose N97 mini over E72 because

(1) Got full qwerty that spaces very well not like E72 very close so if u have big hands u accidentally press wrong key
(2) N97 mini have a 3.2 inch screen vs 2.36inch screen E72 so if the screen so small everything also must look closer
(3) Have 8GB internal memory
(4) Have touch interface so its more fun
(5) The bigger the screen the nicer the GPS navigation if so small while drive its so dangerous u need lose very close to your E72
(6) Due to its slide angle your phone can stand on its own
(7) Autofcocus on N97 mini but E72 from wat i heard to focus you must press the T button on keyboard
(8) N97 mini u can choose wherher you wan qwerty or alphanumberic that means u can sms while driving
(9) Plenty of accelerator stuff for N97 mini compare to E72 because of screen size
But for me i prefer Nokia N900 over this both

ok, i got a lot of friends out there recommending N97 mini,
but the online reviews on the other hand had some bad conclusions on the phone...
mainly sluggish issue / hang... are the updates out there able to solve this issue?

If you can get past the nokia, there's always the Milestone waiting patiently in a corner~

i don't think i would go for other brand cause i'm so used to Nokia phones, even my sis's
SE X1 is useless in my hands... really cannot accept the phone's menu...
may be it's my own problem... mental block.. hehehe.

The logic is very simple. If u give the most powerful weapon to an ordinary person it will just be ordinary. Imagine u pass it to a experience or skillful person imagine what an ordinary weapon can become, it will be more deadly than the most powerful weapon. To me i dont listen to people negative comment so much i do my own research then i go test it myself i like it then i buy it. Its like you ask a technical person about investment you end up even more confuse because the logic and terms will be base on their technical knowledge

hmmm... good point there.
will act accordingly.

well.. its up to you..
firstly choose this first..

Blackberry style phone .. or touchscreen phone with slide qwerty keyboard..
well..comparing other features/specification.. both are neck to neck.. except for
if you want bigger screen.. go for N97 mini

better processor should be E72..

newer OS should be N97 mini...
both phone is completely in different team... i would decide the shape/style first.. then.. i dont care about the spec so much...
well.. what is your budget
*
well, both got their pro and cons... touch screens are easy navigation, however slower processor = frequent lags...
a bit worry bout the hinge on the 97mini, Budget around RM1500 and below.

what OS you prefer.. Android / WM / Symbian or maybe Maemo[Linux based] ??
do you need physical qwerty keyboard..??

well.. there are
Nokia N900[Maemo] - RM 1550
SE Vivaz Pro[Symbian] - RM 1500
Motorola Milestone [Android] - RM 1500

if you okay without physical qwerty keyboard..
go for
Nokia X6[Symbian] - RM 1040[16GB]
SE Vivaz[Symbian] - RM 1140
HTC Hero[Android] - RM 1500
HTC Legend[Anroid] - RM 1580

i don't have any preference for OS, well i do not have any ideas which one is stable
, any recommendations? i would like to have a physical qwerty keyboard compare to
touchscreen qwerty... any pros and cons on the Physical qwerty compare to touchscreen
qwerty keyboards?

on the other hand, how's the camera quality between E72 and N97 mini?
any experience anyone?

thank you
