Let me try say it out then u see if i got the idea correct for this pet.

First is get the tank set up with the co2 and what ever stuff that is require for plant to grow. Then plant the seed to the soil in the tank. Then start growing the plant?

WOnt the plant go out of shape and become a bush when time pass by? How do u cut the plant to make nice nice shape?

ALso how long can this hobby last? Like im sure the plant will grow and overcrowd the whole tank right? WHat do u guys do for that problem?
*
The hobby is aquascaping. That is doing landscape underwater.

Just think of it as trying to grow a garden inside an aquarium. The same rules apply to the plants - light, co2, soil, fertalizers, etc. Same problems too - but instead of weeds we get algae. rclxub.gif

The problem is you not using Titleist Pro V1X. Try that and you will find better results... whistling.gif /jk

The issue is your tank is not "designed".

Check out this

http://www.aquajournal.net/na/iwagumi/styles.html

Select a style (this is Iwagumi(rock layout) style). Then got to your Local Fish Shop (LFS) and buy all the necessary stuff...

Read the rest of it too...

Good luck... tongue.gif

Got it from Natural Aquatics at Subang Seksyen 19. I sapu the last 2 smile.gif I love the shape and the texture. It's actually round in shape due to Mother Nature. So wonderful.

Did you just add in the moss? It could be adapting.

And what is the temperature of the tank?
*
Think my temp is around 28 degrees when A/C not on and 26 then A/C is on... whistling.gif

THe moss already growing for 6 weeks already...

See progress below.

week 1 - 6 progress

As you can see from the pic it is in the middle of the tank...
Week 4 the moss greener than now... cry.gif

Hi Guys
Since not getting any responses in MAC, I guess I post them here. Hopefully the sifus here pulak can guide:

1) I got a new 2213, it came with 5xBlue filter pad, 1xWhite pad and 1xBlack AC pad. Need to know the order to put them in. Since there is 5xBlue pad, can I order them this way, from bottom:
a) 1 x Blue
b) Ceramic Rings
c) 1 X Blue
d) Bio Rio or Subtract Pro
e) 1 x White
f) 1 X Black

Is the order correct?

Also If I get a box of 2L Bio Rio (since it is may economical) can I fit all 2L in the 2213? probably need to remove the blue pads?

2) I got also a ISTA Multi function CO2 diffuser, should it go before or after the filter? Is there a logic if it is going before the filter?

3) I have taken out the branches from my nano tank, remove the mini pelia as I don't like to see the white gel glue residue on the branches. Now whats the best way to keep the mini pelia outside the tank? Currently I just soaked them in some tank water, hopefully they will survive.

Thanks guys!

Bro,

How big is your tank. Thinking of getting a 2213 too...

P.S. How much you got the 2213 will all the filter?

I'm personally using 2213, 2215 and 2217.

I find that 2215 is just nice for a planted 2ft tank. 2217 is great for 3ft. I have tried 2213 for my 2ft tank, but I feel that it's pretty underpowered for it.
*
er... so what you using the 2213 for now? I have a 50cm (1.7ft) tank now...

Hey guys need help.

Want to DIY fan. My AC fan too loud. Just got a PC fan. I have an old unused scanner DC adapter the has Output 12V , 1.25A.

The 12 Volt seem rite for the fan but not sure about the Ampere. Does the Ampere makes any difference?

Thanks.

I also DIY my fan...
Use the 12V AC/DC adapter also.
So i think your fan should work normaly with the ac adaptor.
*
how many A is your adaptor?
