Melting doesn't mean that it was caused by heat.
maybe insufficient light or CO2, did you switch off you lamp when you went to Thailand? I think DIY PC 12V dc fan would be great |

Now maybe you think hob is enough... but believe me... in 2 ~ 3 you will feel the temptation to buy canister filter... By the way.. its a long term investment..
