For the electrical related aquarium products, whatever the brand is, over 90% are original made in China. However, there are only 4 top reputation brands in China. Many large well-know brand products are made in these 4 factories. If you cannot see the products picture (relabel in Australia brand) in their web sites, then, you don’t need pay it at high price, because it very cheap in China.

Atman: http://www.chuangxing.com.cn/doce/gsjj.asp - 80% Atman products sold by large Australia trading company- relabelled in Aqua One in Australia.

Jebo: http://www.jebo.com.cn - the largest aquarium factory in the world. They make over 5,000 fish tanks a day! In Australia, Jebo distributor is Pet Pacific Pty. Ltd—large company.

Hailea: http://www.hailea.com/E-hailea/index.htm - specialize in make top quality air pumps, air blowers, chillers etc. Hailea-Aqua Medic chillers is a good example.

Jebao: http://www.jebao.com - Special in top quality water pumps and related products like external filters (many models), but mainly make products for exporting under different big brands like German brand Sera http://www.sera.com.de etc. You can find the Jebao 81x series external filters in Sera web site for more details.

Jebao and Hailea not marketing well in Australia due to the small size of distributors.

Second class brands are SunSun (some relabelled in pro aqua, or aqua pro) and Resun (some relabel in Unistar), price are 30% cheap compare to top 4 brands. Resun products quality is better than SunSun. http://www.resun-china.com , http://www.sunsun-china.com/english/

Other 300 factories, most of them focus on cheaper and economic model products by use recycle materials and designed product lifetime is up to 6 months. And boasting water flows or air flow to beat the large brand products.

However, many Australia relabelled products are from those small factories, but described as “top quality” and sale at high price with 12 months warranty – Seller still make profit if buyer asking for the free replacement, but buyer needs pay extra double postage for the warranty. Seller knows buyer will give up the one-year warranty offer– why pay more for a same low quality product again and again!

For external canister filters, it needs high technolodge and huge investments on equipments to make it in top quality. Big brand external filter’s lifetime is at least double than small factories made external filters. My record shows: 1% warranty return for Jebao 61x series external filter in last two years. 10% return in 3 months on cheap economic external filters that I sold 6 months ago (same as TOTA external filter, its my bad experience on trust other seller’s nice products description). So far, zero return after sold over 100pcs of Jebao 81x series filters since June—Europe quality.

Jebao and Hailea are good reputation brand in the world, they do not boasting water flow or air flow to attract buy’s attention, and they focus on product quality – viewed by distributors in China."
