I also have that, its very good in what it does. The only problem I had when there were lots of them were brown algae which my oto suppose to take care of.
But after I trim it recently, maybe I trimmed it too much. I started having these hair like algae growing. I don't know what kind of algae it is. But its everywhere, including my water sprites.

So now I minta all the sifu-sifu sekalian to help me take a look at what it is and what I'm suppose to do to get rid of it...

My tank is very low tech tank, and very low budget also. No CO2 injection, no soil just gravel, temperature is around 30 (going to DIY fan coming holiday) but had this problem before I moved also when the tank temperature was at 28. Tank is 20 gallon, 12 harlequine, 2 sterbai cory just recently added 30 cherry shrimp which I hope would eat it, just came a week ago.

So please... Anyone can help me???     

Buy a small sponge bubble filter.. take out the sponge.. and fit it at the inlet...
it will look cool because of the black color and it wont clog easily because the sponge filter is designed to handle a lot of bio load. I'm using that method currently.

I bought one before, cost me RM3.50 but it died 2 days later. I don't know why... 

Living in Kuala Terengganu now, no LFS here selling them...

Need to wait for my semester break only can go back KL buy. But what I really want to know is whether cherry shrimp eats these kind of algae??? Their greyish and furry...     

- my shrimp keep dying..
- Already use the air pump to aerate it.
- result is better that not using it, but the shrimp is still dying..
- i did water top off everyday because of the fan and do 20% water change every 2 days..
- i also didn't user any fert.
- but still the shrimp is dying.
- im using filtered tab water..
- average temp is about 28C to 27C
- it is because of the copper in the tap water that cause this?

hi, anybody knows where to get riccia in KL/Cheras area? I just started my planted tank and interested to plant some riccia, but cannot them find in LFS, even in Marine88 Pandan indah.

If anybody got extra wanna give away is even better....

i see so many ppl mentioning of SLS. Basically where is this SLS? I m from Cheras and planning to start this as hobby .

Any info?
