Michanz: Ur moss tank = thumbup.gif

Just apply superglue technique at my scape yesterday. Buy a small portion of mini pellia at 88 yesterday for experimentation and stick it to my rock using superglue. So far no sign of dying on my mini pellia. The color still bright green. Maybe too soon...need to wait a couple of days before make conclusion. BTW, i just order a large portion of mini pellia that cost me RM70 for my dream mountain scape doh.gif .

ranchu, how did u buy the mini pelia in 88? I saw they have some already tied to rocks. I think the price is like 15RM for each rock. how big is your patch and how much u paid for it?

Anyone can guide me where is NA is SS19? Wanna check out this place...Need some landmark. Is it near the famous fish head curry restaurant?  smile.gif  Thanks
*
They have the untie one..the one at the top. My first patch is about the size of 50 cent. Rm 15. The RM 70 patch dunno what size coz not arrive yet smile.gif

i also looking for  a small skimmer but cant find
*
Guys, Why susah-susah find d skimmer la.... I just use this cheap HOB filter as my 100% skimmer. Cute, really small (barely unnoticed), and the most important is, it done the job well. What i do is, I block the bottom intake with sealant and use just the skimmer. You can buy it at 88 sunwaymas for RM 18

the surface skimmer wont suck the air in as well ? my cheap hob giving me this problem. after sucked in air, will causing some noise. end up i use a canister instead of the hob.
*
Yup..First its making noise but with proper tuning the water flow, the noise is completely gone smile.gif

I only know pet wonderland in midvalley got sell shrimp, but I'm very interested to buy SAE thumbup.gif
*
Bro go to Natural Aquatic ss19 subang for SAE. For yamato and cherry, go to Aquatics International

Yep, MAC. Didn't know there was a thread here. blush.gif

that batang kayu I spend 2 days looking for at NA. It is two pieces of wood glued together. The moss covers the join.  brows.gif

took me 9 hours non stop to plant it. Next time just grow HC. Easier. Backache after that.... rclxub.gif

Nice scape bro thumbup.gif like bonsai garden. If u have prob to find planted tank related product, I suggest u go to Aquashop or visit their Facebook page. Their price is really reasonable like example, they sell 5 bundles of Hydrocotyle just for RM8 if plus the shipping cost RM10, RM18 is still cheap thumbup.gif

dont support East Aqua... i ban them, due to they sell fly high sky price... i wish they bankruptcy... lol haha =X
anyway, there's alot of place you can find yamato... in cheras have 88 Pets mart, their services kinda bad... they selling yamato rm 2.5 each expensive also... if you able to travel.. just go NA in subang or SLS in ara damansara, they are the best in my opinion.. about SAE , honestly alot of them selling Flying fox... and told us is SAE... not honest at all.. most of the time fish shop like that , i will ban them in my list... i wont even buy a single fish from them at all... except emergency haha xD
*
Not nice la like that doh.gif ... I dont think they simply raise the price. Maybe they have to pay for a sky hi shop rent...

Haha.. frm what i know, pet is a animal we kept for amusement. So,u must be specific if u ask for pet care coz dif pet dif care biggrin.gif . But if u ask info bout starting a planted tank, here we go. This is base on my 1.7ft tank.

1- Aquarium = RM 85
2- Lighting sys Aquazonic 96W for 2ft = RM 270
3- Canister filter Eheim 2211 + Eheim Substrat pro= RM 300
4- HOB for surface skimmer = RM 18
5- ADA Power sand S = RM 92
6- ADA Bacter 100 = RM 5 for 2 spoon
7- ADA PanacW x4 spoon= RM 5 for 2 spoon
8- ADA Clear Super= RM 5 for 2 spoon
9- ADA PanacP x4 spoon = RM 5 for 2 spoon
10-ADA Tourmaline BC = RM 5 for 2 spoon
11-ADA Aqua soil Amazonia2 9 liters (powder type)= RM 140
12-ADA Bacter ball x1pcs ( put in canister filter)= RM 4

Ok that the basic setup (also my setup) for starting a planted tank. All the decoration like stone, drift wood and plant not yet in the list coz different ppl different taste of layout, so the price for the decoration is depends to what u want icon_rolleyes.gif . And pls note that there will be a additional cost for the layout maintenance brows.gif

hoho.. quite an expensive hobby... lol

so the actual pet here is the plant and not the fish?

how about maintenance? is it difficult?
*
Actually u can make more cheaper setup. For canister filter, its not necessary use Eiheim. U can use more cheaper china brand that cost u about RM 80 only as long as it is a bio filter. U also can skip all the substrate additives and use only power sand and aqua soil. The setup that i show to u is what my setup is. Maintenance for me is quite easy as long as u know what ur plants need. Owh i almost forgot....Welcome to the planted tank community icon_rolleyes.gif

izzit using good tank or good filter??
because i got one 4 feet tank, and i want to change it to looks clean and good.....guide me please .
thank you

Hi bro. Welcome to the community icon_rolleyes.gif
Its nothing to do with tank to create a beautiful layout. If u give a cheap plastic tank to Mr Amano or Oliver knott, they can turn it into amazing planted tank. But a good filter is a must for planted tank. Ok, this is how its work; Plants make photosynthesis and grow, the fauna breathe oxygen produced by the photosynthesis, Micro-organisms in the substrate and bio filter degrade the fish waste. If u can get this complete ecosystem in ur aquarium, u will be rewarded with a beautiful planted tank nod.gif
