Not quite. Powder is time saving as it is throw into oven n bake. Wi gate is most time consuming in paint job. U need 4 layer of paint at least. Oxide primer, black Matt, colour n clear. 4layer x 1-2days of paint n dry =8days

This is for good contractors. For powder coat, obviously faster. For powder coat yes more resistant as it contain epoxy as binder that act as lock to lock the paint into it's tough form. Again, primer n surface preparation n powder coating thickness come into play.

I can propose u a paint system that is equivalent lasting than galvanize n powder coat.
