QUOTE(Awakened_Angel @ May 1 2011, 11:47 PM) dig back on my previous explanation.... You mean there is not real WI in the market right now, all are MS?Wrought Iron is another type of metal.. but due to escalating cost, people do not user WI, but take MS and hammered into textured shape... as time goes by, people still call WI when they see textured MS |

QUOTE(Awakened_Angel @ May 2 2011, 04:37 PM) I wont say ALL, but mostly.... Hi Awakened Angel, thanks for the sharing...Yeah the WI outside don't look like the pic that you shown. So when they said it is WI mean just by the name not really the material...But powder coat should have better rust protection than painting right?last time, when real wrought iron are forged by cast it into moulds into a panel shape like in the pic http://images.artfinding.com/lot/_203/seve...72233075759.jpg but it is darn expensive to cast a shape like the pic... it all depends on you(as owner) what do you want? textured shape? finishing? powder coat? antique? coloured? in the end, it is the colour paint & protection paint that dictates its service life. P/S many fabricator will ask you to go for powder coat... why? save their time in painting. painting wrought iron is a tedious job... |
